I’ve no idea how anyone with Irish heritage could play for England. Grealish was torn too which makes me think he has some understanding, their all mercenaries now, well most of them.

Look at Iceland 20 years ago. For a population of roughly 250,000? Correct me if I’m miles out. It’s unbelievable what they’ve become in a relatively short time. Some nations just find a formula that works temporarily but some change their ways and reap the benefits. Unfortunately in our parts of the world drink has a major part to play in our state of affairs.

As long as we have the SFA and jobs for the boys, Scotland will remain in the dark ages. Our club should make scottish players sign a contract that prevents them playing for Scotland after decades of favouring one club to everyones detriment.

A much bigger shock happened in 2013 when Luxembourg were one of the worst teams in Europe.
I can remember Luxembourg knocked 3 goals past Northern Ireland in a 3-2 victory.
It was the first time Luxembourg had won a World Cup Qualifier at home in over 40 years, since 1972.
