It’s been a total nightmare and a disaster of a season for Celtic.
I can’t help but think that it would’ve been different if the C. V never appeared.
Only last March, Celtic were 15 points clear and now we find ourselves 18 points behind after the same 30 games played.
There’s not been many changes in personnel apart from Forster and Duff from our coaching.
Not enough to tip the scales from a 15 point positive to an 18 point negative in only 11 months.
Slippy, his staff and players were on their knees before the C. V appeared.
Slippy might not have received a 3rd chance.
And Celtic were on the verge of a 2nd treble under his watch.
I was wanting to ask all your opinions, if you think C. V changed everything or
Do you think Celtic would still have thrown 10 in a row away.

Agree2 Disagree0

For me buzz bomb there’s loads of factors can be blamed. The recruitment quality and time it takes for Celtic do so business, bolingoli going away on a mad overnighter tae Spain, who even does that? Players coming into pre season unfit and according to lennon continuing that throughout the season, C.V. effecting umpteen players away on international duty coming back and self isolating, that stupid Dubai trip during a C.V., tactics, selections. the whole thing from the off had disaster written all over it for me, but IMO in terms of the league I personally felt we were in trouble October last year. The 3-3 at aberdeen was enough for me and I said change was needed then.

while i don't like admitting it it has to be said that that mobs consistency this season has been the key and has to be acknowledged and we would have had a fight on our hands but they have not had to feel any sort of pressure throughout the whole season and we will never know how they would have coped with that. but there's no doubt cv has played a massive part in our season in loads of different ways and subsequently played into there hands, if this wasn't the case i believe we would have had enough to get the 10.

Buzz Bomb

It’s all soon to be history and not for a second does it deflect rightful criticism directed at the board, management and players.

But yes I think the current health crisis changed everything and no I don’t think they’d have won the league if the supporters were in the stadium for various reasons.

Firstly, the games stacked up and points lost directly due to the Bolingoli and Dubai fiascos with players self isolating etc.

Secondly, the atmosphere in a packed Celtic Park is phenomenal and we’re the teams 12th man. We make average Celtic players better and good players a yard faster. You said it yourself look at Liverpool results and there has been records broken for all the wrong reasons across Europe.

Thirdly, they have been serial bottlers and have benefited from not having their mob on their backs.

Fourth, there would have been no hiding place for the board, manager and players from the supporters anger and disappointment.

Right down to us losing out on Davies when we badly needed a centre half when in any other year Liverpool would not have been shopping by Klopp’s own admission at PNE.

It was just the perfect storm.

A mix of CV, Poor Management, Tactics, Players unfit and underperforming, A total disconnection between the fans and The Board. Everbody seen this coming and a change was needed back in October when we still had a chance of competing for the league. NL should have been gone after the Ferencvaros games yet he's still here lurching from 1 disaster to the next. Im sure many fans watching predicted the RC goal as soon as the free kick was given. I turned the TV off straight away when he came on laughing. He now has a who cares attitude im here till the summer no matter what rubbish comes my way.

It has definitely had an impact on the season that there is no doubt. But I still feel Lennon was living of rodgers work. How many signings Lennon has made that improved the team. I'd say only frimpong (not sure if it was his) and turnbull. Our recruitment in the summer is what has done us complete disaster. Then after that just Lennon's tactics. We miss the fans that's the big one as we woukdnt have let standards get so poor.

Our demise is entirely down to. two people. Lawell and Lennon. Every other excuse is total BS.
