Alright lads. What's your thoughts on leigh Griffiths contract situation. By the time his contract is up he will be 31. Has he lost his peace and unable to get fitness levels back to his best. Will he get a new contract or will club sell him in the summer.

He can still score goals but for him, as a professional football player, not being fit and available for selection at the start of the season, especially this season is, for me, unforgivable.

I'd offer him to Aberdeen or Hibs in a deal for Ferguson, Porteous, Nesbitt or even Boyle. Ok none should make our first XI next season but potential is there. We will move forward and the likes of Griff and Rogic need moving on.

This year, only turnbull, welsh, taylor and soro have been decent enough to earn a place, id try and flog the most of the squad to get bigger budget and less chance of disruption from any wantaways for next season.

The older he gets the less wise he becomes and although may be the most natural finisher, he will never be that 40-goal man again and the fitness, fatness and tantrums are wearing thin on club and fans.

As good as griffs can be the guy doesn't appear to have the right mentality to keep going at this level. The fact he came back over weight and unfit was shocking. He may be a great goal scorer but when can't manage to get on the pitch then he is not much use to us. Time to move him on.

There’s going to be big changes at the club next season and it’s a perfect time for Griffiths to move on and also for Brown to take a coaching role.
If Brown wants to continue playing then he will also need to move on.
Celtic need new young blood in our team to compete next season.

hes taking a wage from us, and a huge one at that his bad attitude towards fitness is there to see, he thinks he's still got but its gone at this level its not enough to score the odd goal, he's done lads time for him to move on. before he ruins everything,

Griffiths will be at Celtic till the end of his contract, I would love to see him sold however he’s on a lucrative wage which no other team would match or better, I’d be surprised if he was willing to take a wage cut to leave.

I love griffiths, he’s be in my team every week up top with edouard based on what we currently have. I to have criticised him for his attitude and fitness especially pre season. On the fitness side of things and I agree with ED, every player should strive to be the fittest they can be. My question is this, how many players this season has lennon questions on their fitness? Why are these players unfit? Is it because they simply can’t be arsed? Or is it deeper than that and down to the management and what they’re doing in order to get them fit? If it was just griffiths I’d say ok he’s at it, but by Lennons own admission there’s a helluva lot more players he’s claimed aren't fit enough, why is that?
{Ed007's Note - Why did it take Ajeti so long to get fit even if he didn't have a full preseason we're in February now and that's just a glaringly obvious one but as you say the fitness level of the whole squad is very poor but that would mean Lennon admitting there's fault on his part.}

Griffiths should be done at celtic. The nonsense from him is now outweighing the good.
We should use him as a part of a deal to get Nisbet from hibs.
