ed007. what's your thoughts on the ben Davies deal is it a deal that will go ahead this window and what's your thoughts on the player himself will he do a job.
{Ed007's Note - I've not seen too much of Ben Davies but according to a scout I know...
"Celtic will be getting a very good player if they sign Davies. There's no doubting his defensive qualities and even though he may not be the strongest in the air his positional sense makes up for that. His ball retention is excellent, he rarely loses possession or misplaces passes and is he's very comfortable with the ball at his feet."
Alex Neil said earlier that Celtic haven't been in touch with PNE about Davies so that makes me think we're still talking to his agent about a pre-contract but once that's agreed either us or his agent will likely ask the club what it'll take to get a deal done during this window.}

sounds like everything were needing in a defender right now ed some one who knows how to defend and knows his position. hope it goes ahead this January be best to get him soon as and settle him in. just really up to Pete to stump the funds up.

O'donnell would be worth getting, pretty sure it would be a free or a small fee. Should it not work out then not cost much.

Yeah heard that name but dr ruled it out reporting he's not on the list so they say! But we will see if anyone comes in ED007. Lennon did mention one or two deals are far down the line i hope so but with one being a rb i am hoping for a CH?

O'Donnell is part of one of the worst defenses in the SPFL. Nowhere near good enough.

A huge part of our weakness has been the goalkeeper position and having seen all three at various times, it's pretty clear that we do not have a convincing enough last line of defense.

Is o Donnell not just on a short term deal until end of jan at Motherwell. Would be free and a stop gap on a 6 month deal. Seems sensible if we can't get any other deals done. Revisit in the Summer .

Hed still he better than elhamed and Ralston although agree would like better. fed up with cheap options tgats how we're in this mess.

If it's just cover until the end of the season providing back up to Elhamed that's fine. If that's the kind of player we are rebuilding the team with then we're downsizing massively.

In regards to Davies, Charlie Adam said he is one of the best defenders in the Championship and would be a very good signing for us.

Do you reckon we will stick with Ajer at RB for the rest of the season Ed? Any update on Elhameds situation too is he happy to see out the season now or you think he will try push through a move this window?

Elhamed's a strange one, I thought he would have been off at the start of the window with a return to Be'er Sheva looking most likely but Ed002 was blethering the other day and mentioned that Hapoel Beer Sheva are under investigation from FIFA about the way they are ran.}
