this could be media setting us up and getting us excited then when it does not happen they get a laugh when we go into meltdown over it. and print more negative story's of the club and fan melt downs.

Totally, UI. The article wasn't even internally coherent, claiming in the headline he was going to be appointed, and in the text that he was in the running. All unattributed. Its just a wind-up.

Part of the media wind up and probably will go beyond season ticket time just to get them sold, this might not be just those in the south that could benefit from keeping up the fans hopes for a worldy.

We are an easy target for hoaxers and fake news piss-takers.
Obviously it would have been a huge coup and a great lift.
However when you look back at our uninterrupted history of managers, you could argue that probably the previous manager and MON were the only two really high profile acquisitions in the last century and both were boyhood fans and (I think) , financially appointed by DD?
Others, mostly had direct Celtic connections and the tenure of any foreign boss, with the short exception of Wim Janssen, has been largely unsuccessful and short-lived.
I look forward with anticipation and hope rather than assured confidence in the caliber of the next managerial appointment.

onceabhoy. was watching celtic state of mind earlier and he was talking about a interview he did with jock brown and he told him he had bobby robson lined up and was taking the job but Fergus McCann says no he wanted a foreign manager and went with wim jansen.

I wasn't aware of that story Buzz but Jorge Cadete, what a player!
I remember being at CP when he was introduced to the supporters, pretty sure we were playing Partick Thistle that day.
Then offcourse followed the famous 'admin error' by wee Farry in the SFA (cheating barsteward) that meant Cadete didn't receive clearance to play for the Hoops until something like the April missing a Cup Semi Final against the H$@S.

I was at the game v aberdewhen he scored en when he came off the bench. I'm pretty sure the noise broke some record.

It was a Monday night game Mmcdynw and the noise blew one of the radio stations off the air when Cadette came off the bench and scored.
