Anybody heard of any decent managers that are available?

The rumour is that Roy Keane is a front runner.

When you say available I hope you don't just mean out of a job. We're Celtic Football Club and should be more than capable of approaching plenty of clubs and taking their manager. No haggling or messing about, just pay them what they want and get a tactically competent body in the dugout.

Spot on Kev. Lennon is not and never was the answer. Neither is Keane.

New poster. Currently out of work . Eddie Howe, Marco Silva, Quique Sánchez Flores.
I wouldn’t bank on the following employed managers being approached but you could look at Chris Wilder and/ or Sean Dyche. Also Roberto Martinez (and Maloney) might be of interest?
Another who is out of work currently is Nigel Pearson. These guys wouldn’t be everyone’s choice but they’d bring professionalism. All of these guys took teams to the top of the Championship and then kept them in the EPL. I’d bet there’s 25+ decent candidates out there and you wouldn’t even need to mention Strachan, McCarthy or Keane.

Looking ahead we need to do what we did with Rogers and pay the premium for a top class manager. Most of the guys that are out of work are there for a reason.

Identify the best candidate for the job and pay what it takes to get him.

I'd still go for Rafa Benitez. If he took over tomorrow there would be an instant buzz around the place. Even if he didn't win the league I think fans would stick with him and give him time to rebuild which will be massive in the summer.

Every other candidate isn't fancied by a lot of fans Moyes, Keane Strachan, Howe etc. I think the vast majority would be happy with Rafa.

Roy Keane is to management as Shane Duffy is to being the centre half we need.

Rafa will be on incredible money in China, no chance.

Del

Rafa said he was interested after BR left and the board didn't even get in touch with him to discuss the job.
He is now earning £12m a year managing in China, there is no way he would leave that to come here, we probably could even afford the compensation it would take to get him anyway.
