I'm kinda glad we got horsed 4-1 tonight rather than losing narrowly or drawing and papering over the cracks, at least this way somethings got to give and Sunday will give an idea on how the rest of the season will pan out. Lose again and it proves the players have chucked it and don't care, come out and put on a performance then there's hope. The rest of EL games should be used to experiment giving Turnbull, Soro, Klimala etc game time.

I said this during the live chat, The semi against Aberdeen papered over the cracks. Aberdeen got past our backline 17 times at the weekend and didn't have the quality to hit a man if that was Rangers with Barasic or Tavener they'd have put a right few past us.
I don't know the best course of action but i can't see Lennon getting us out of this mess.

Agree steve. Use these players for rest of Europea league. They need games to settle in. Why we signed them and they only get 5 mins a game at the end. How can coaching staff see what players can do in 5mins . Also would drop Duffy and play Welsh.

It's mental to be typing this but I'm genuinely not even surprised that they managed to batter 4 past us tonight. This season has been a complete cluster from start to finish. We're still in touching distance in the league purely because our squad is so much better and expensive than the teams we play most weeks. Sitting here absolutely scunnered 3 months into the biggest season in our history.

The whole Europa should have been that opportunity. what does it say about these guys chances if players that don't want to stay play over them. They must wonder what the point is.

The usually in the know Stephen McGowan has tweeted that Lennon is now in the Tony Mowbray territory when Celtic lost 4-0 at St. Mirren in 2010.
That can’t be good news for Lennon since Mowbray was sacked within 24 hours of that defeat.

Never glad to get horsed, we had players on the bench who would have done better, Rogic disappears when he gets one hard tackle Griffiths not match fit, why the players have to stand up and have a good look at themselves, they are getting paid champions league wages, and that can come back to haunt us raging.

Sorry Stevie there is nothing to be glad about when you get spanked 4-1 at home,
Sparta are no mugs but this result brings nothing but embarrassment for the club. Just like the Cluj and Ferencvaros results did. Sparta have been ravaged by C.V., have not played domestically and still out ran, out fought and out played us in every department. This result for me is worse than back to back defeats against Molde under Deila and is up there with Bratislava.
Europe is gone for this season. Some fans already saying they don't care and its all about the league but in my opinion they are talking out their arses. Its the manner of the way we have went out and its reminiscent of how we have been all season. No heart, no desire, no creativity, no leadership.
We are regressing at an alarming rate. Lennon has said the attitudes need to change. Why now? We are 20 games into what could be the most historic season in the clubs history. Has he gave the players too much leeway? Have they hung themselves with it? We are TWENTY games into the season and had 2 good performances. Players are doing what they want whether its f*****g off to Spain or refusing to adhere to club protocols and diets and get fit. From Lennon admitting players want to leave then no one goes, to petulance from players being subbed or sitting on their phones in the dugout. It is an absolute piss take and total lack of respect.
I liked Lennon as a player and bought into what he tried as manager first time round but ultimately would have preferred he didn't get the job second time round. As much as he put out the team that most of us probably would have picked he clearly doesn't have them motivated to play for him and there seems to be a huge lack of respect from some players towards him. There will also be reasons that players want out that we will never know about.
Change needs to happen and it needs to happen now, unfortunately for Lennon I don't think he can change the mentality and will pay the price with his job on the next game we lose or perform like this.

How many games does lennon have to lose, to get the message his tactics don't work, if the players don't want to play for him either sack the manager or play the boys who do want to play for him. Butawell has a huge descion to make. We the fans have bought record season ticket sales and are paying the players a great wage and the manager a good wage. As I said Lawell has a huge decision to make and he needs to make it soon. When was the last time apart from the first half against Aberdeen did we look like we were interested in winning a game.
