Was just reading what the Italian press were saying about our performance last night. They said Celtic played a linear style of football, of course I didn't know what linear meant so looked it up and it means progressing from one stage to another in series of steps. Sums up our style at the moment perfectly, making 20 passes and progressing 3 yards or sometimes even regressing. Ball goes across back then out wide then back along back line out to other side, into the midfield, back to the centre half, along the back line again, then give away possesion. Mind numbing stuff to watch. IMO Broony is central to this type of play, if we must play Ntcham it's got to be in Broonys position, or why not give Soro a shot in there. We need younger legs playing that role to get the play moving quicker.

I would say Calmac as guilty as anyone. Keep an eye on the volume of side and backward passes he makes.

Brendan always said that his biggest strength was not giving the ball away.
Maybe it’s too static up front with nobody making a run because it’s not like him.

I think Broonys problem these days is he plays too safe, always choosing the easy pass because if he gives it away he doesn't have the legs to get it back.

30 passes with no end product give me 3 passes and a goal from head or foot like Milan and sevco.

Brown doesn't have the confidence or the legs to get the ball and then move forward past an opponent, that's why he passes it back or sideways, that's why I say his best position is now coming on from the bench .

That's because he's not a defensive midfielder and runs around tidying up Brown's mistakes.
