As much as it's a bit embarrassing to be happy with a 3-1 defeat at home, let's look at the facts: Milan beat the EL runners-up at the weekend and sit top of Serie A so it's no humiliation to lose to them - regardless of the opinion of a mob who beat the mighty Standard Liege. I am not pleased with the result but the performance, particularly in the second half, was miles better than almost anything we've seen all season. If this can be the start of the team playing like we know they can, then I'm positive about the tough run of games we have coming up.

We were a shambles at the back but I agree there were some positives. I wouldn't downplay Sevco's result though. Any win away from home at this level is a great result. They have their tactics spot on when playing in Europe.

The G string has had had some fantastic results with the KLAN in Europe as much as it pains me to admit it nor do I care much other than taking from it an awareness that we have a challenge on our hands. Their second goal will be watched and spoken about for years it was a classic. The park was in some nick though and stopped the football team playing but was still some result. We are more than capable of rising to that challenge IF the manager can sort us out. The operative word being IF. A wee word with a big question mark.
