Right now every team in Europe that we play must be running there hands as we are a soft touch. we are far too passive where's the crunching tackles and will to win. sun is huge now there can be no slip ups as Rangers will hammer livi. how the eff have ended up in this mess.

Agree1 Disagree0

Mally this ain’t a mess wee just need to pull our socks up Sunday can’t come quick ehnough for me till wee right a few wrongs .

{Ed007's Note - There's been a complete overreaction to last night's defeat, D & P. Anyone who expected us to get anything against Milan were deluding themselves.}

23 Oct 2020 11:31:45
I’m more optimistic with our second half display.
I don’t mind playing a 3-5-2 against teams who park the bus but to play it against teams who can exploit the spaces down the wings is criminal.
We should be able to switch formations at any time.
I was astounded on Saturday when Lennon said they were sticking with a 3-5-2 because they hadn’t trained with the 4 at the back system.
That is worrying.

Long-term complacency by all concerned, some staleness, selling star players and replacing with inferior quality - many of which never make the grade and we actually lose money, failure to address key areas of the team, fitness levels dropping, realization and fear.

23 Oct 2020 11:38:24
Ed last night matters not a jot as you say but the Dons could be a potential P45 case for the gaffer.

{Ed007's Note - It does matter, the performance against a team leading Serie A was a massive improvement on what we've been watching recently. If we play like we did last night against Aberdeen we'll be taking 3 points.}

Celtic Mad
I’m starting to question what Gavin Strachan brings to the table.
Duff played at a high pressured level for his country and clubs and we replace him with a guy who I think played and coached in the lower divisions in England.
Usually we hear the coaches getting praise from the players but I haven’t heard anybody praise Gavin for the job he is doing.
It does look like Lennon needs help before they all lose their jobs.

{Ed007's Note - Coaches do what the manager tells them to do but what level did guys like Moyes, Carlos Queiroz, Mourinho or even Klopp play at, Leon?}

23 Oct 2020 11:51:58
I hope Lennon realises the second half performance and team formation is the way to go against Aberdeen and in next few games until we get our other big players back including French Eddie, we need to batten down the hatches and play our way through this rough period, but we need some help from our manager like giving young Turnbull a chance to bring his energy to our midfield and Rogic looked better last night too.

23 Oct 2020 12:19:05
Ed do you seriously think Lennon tells the coaches how to go about there business and what he wants I know he should but whether he does is a different story.

{Ed007's Note - Of course he does.}

23 Oct 2020 12:37:34
The buck stops with Lennon and I agree he dictates the training methods, but there seems to be a marked difference since Duff left. Usually you see most managers having a con-fab with their assistants and getting feedback/ advice in solving problems; but in our Tech Area you see grim faced blank stares - like waiting on a court verdict!

23 Oct 2020 12:50:06
Ed.
I get what you are saying because John Kennedy doesn’t have much playing experience due to his horrific injury and he has been praised for being a good coach.
Could Celtic not have got a coach who could also give the manager advice if they have previous knowledge and experience at a higher level.
I think we lowered the bar appointing Strachan to replace Duff and I know your thinking but we done the exact same thing with Brendan and Lennon.

{Ed007's Note - Lennon definitely needs help to find his best team/tactics and that's where a DOF would have came in handy. Strachan is a far more experienced coach than Duff and I'd expect him to have a better knowledge of what's required, whether the manager listens to him or not is another matter. Kennedy is apparently a great coach who the players all listen to and respect, the only "bad" thing I've ever heard said about him is that he needs to have more confidence in his ideas
Maybe Lennon only talks football with his drinking buddies. Why not ask Chris Sutton to come in as a coach, he's always got plenty to say about what's wrong?}

23 Oct 2020 12:51:44
2nd half was decent but any balls into our box right now causes carnage. we can't defend simple balls and frimpong has to improve as his final ball is awful we also don't create enough chances.

23 Oct 2020 13:39:25
Ed people would hang people before the verdict has come out on here. let's see where wee are as a team by Christmas before we get the torches and pitchforks out.

{Ed007's Note - Unless there's a upcoming disaster I think that's the plan.}

23 Oct 2020 13:45:15
Absolutely 100% the buck stops with Lennon but as far as I'm led to believe he leaves the coaching to the coaches and that's not telling them what he wants and then leave them it's leaving them be.

{Ed007's Note - Well what's the problem then because Kennedy would just continue using training drills set by Rodgers if it was left up to him to decide? Why is Lennon pictured at training everyday?}

23 Oct 2020 13:13:17
Thanks for your intake Ed.
I’ve heard Lawwell will be leaving at the end of the season and there will be a new manager.
Do you think then a DOF will be employed next season in the new shake up?
Your right about the good coaches not playing at a good level.
Did Mourinho not start off as an interpreter for Bobby Robson at Barcelona and how did he end up one of the best coaches in the world?
I like the fact you mentioned Gavin is more experienced coach than Duff and I hope and still believe everything will eventually fall into place this season.
Talking about Sutton. He mentioned at half time Celtic have hit rock bottom.
I hope he is right and the only way is up from now on until the end of the season.

{Ed007's Note - I've heard that as well about Lawwell and I'd like to think the board will adopt a more modern approach and go with a DOF.}

23 Oct 2020 14:57:22
I totally agree with Ed. There was no chance of us beating AC Milan When we changed formation we played far better than I have seen over the last few weeks. The Lennon out Brigade will have to wait a little longer as we will gub Aberdeen and go on a run if we play the way we can like we saw in the second half last night.

23 Oct 2020 15:19:53
Pud I’m in your camp mate roll on Sunday 👍🍀🍀 keep the faith Bhoys.

23 Oct 2020 19:10:57
ed im not defending lennon mate and by the looks of it by the way we are messing about with the ball at the back passing it back and sideways then it could very well be that kennedy is using the same drills.

{Ed007's Note - OK then, so who in your opinion is deciding the formation and team we play with?}

23 Oct 2020 20:57:28
i think its more of a joint decision than you think.

{Ed007's Note - Decisions are always best made with a joint.}

23 Oct 2020 21:33:49
hahaha il take your word for it mate.

{Ed007's Note - Aye right, Liam 😉
