I just don't see what brown offers that someone with a better engine reaction and pace doesn't. Tonight he contributed little and certainly didn't aid the defence in a meaningful way. It's not as if he is getting an armchair ride in a triumphant side just now responding ready to hand over the baton once he collects his medal. Change is needed to bring new energy. The young lad laxalt really put a shift in and tried to get forward. Mostly the rest went sideways or inside when the byline was beckoning. It wasn't sharp enough or clinical enough and it certainly isn't solid enough to at least say we're a side that's hard to score against. Last year scoring from corners was the challenge now it's keeping them out at our end. If we were scintillating going forward you'd maybe accept the odd carnage but we are not that yet.

@mally we have the players to fit it, and it’s not much different from 4231 so players should take to it quickly. I definitely think this should be Lennon s last season. He’s a winner and can turn things around if he gets players back on board but definitely last season for me.
@phil. I agree I think brown might be not at his best anymore but he is the best defensive minded midfield we have. I haven’t a clue about Soro not seen enough of him. I don’t even know if he’s a defensive type, box to box or attacking?
