One of the best Celtic quotes I’ve heard is attributable to him. Bishop Devine said at TBs funeral ‘the Scotland manager Gordon Strachan said to me, the best thing about becoming the Celtic manager, was getting to know Tommy Burns as a friend’.
The tears were blinding him as it took the applause of the entire church, Bishop Devine and the priests on the alter.
