Apparently Southampton are considering a move for Ntcham according to their 'Saints Marching' site. So it may have to be Turnbull?

Elyounoussi can’t play LWB.
He struggles to get back to help out Taylor at times.
At the moment the only back up to Taylor is Forrest in the 3-5-2 formation.

Your bang on buzzbomb. question is, is Forrest a better option? Going forward its definitely him but defending its Taylor. So especially at home unless we buy a LWB i would play forrest. That also means Frimpong plays because if Taylor definitely starts then Forrest will play right.

My choice would be an old school 4/ 4/ 2, easily converted into a 3/ 5/ 2 pushing Frimpong to LWB and Moi in to no.10.

The obvious weakness here is the left side as Moi isn't seen to be the best at tracking back and Frimpong is right footed but I think young Frimpong is better defensively than he gets credit for as he is so electric going forward. In all honesty we know teams in the league are going to park the bus home and away. I think the above selection has enough fluidity and creativity to comfortably break teams down.
My selection is probably seen as harsh on Brown, Christie and Taylor.
Brown I think will still play a major part for us this season but there is no need for him to start every game in my opinion.
Taylor I think has been fairly solid since coming in but for me Frimpong is a better player and should be in the team even if played at left back.
Christie is a worker but he is nowhere near the level of Moi. When Moi really gets going I think he will rip it up and I am tipping him to be POTY this season.

Can play with 2 strikers eddy dropping off and drifting about or even have Christie* playing deeper off one striker.
Taylor and Frimpong fullbacks/ wingbacks though. I’d probably want Callum and brown to start to.
