This situation regarding Aberdeen football club is a joke. According to reports all clubs were given strict guidelines in which to follow and Aberdeen have clearly ignored these or sorry 8 of their players have ignored these so my point is this, why should St Johnstone or any other club affected by those players stupidity suffer by having their match postponed? Had any player caught C.V. through no fault of their own I can accept that therefor if games have to be postponed I'd accept that, but for me it's a blatant disregard for the guidelines and putting themselves and others at risk, for me St Johnstone and any other club that may be affected by this they should be awarded the 3 points and a 3-0 victory as a way of punishment. Of course we all want games played but I'll be fuming if our game against them is postponed because of this.

Agree2 Disagree0

agreed garyc1977
same as those idiots in the pubs up there i have a friend has a restaurant up there now he has to shut because of the imbeciles.
its not one size fits all this has been caused by a few pubs why not just shut the pubs that caused this they know who they are tuff if they go out of business. so we all have to suffer this is not on.
now those idiots who play for Aberdeen now have it who do they think they are Aberdeen fc own these players better stop there wages, we where lucky sturgeon did not shut all Scottish leagues down bet she thought about it, so send Aberdeen fc the bill, all the business who make money through football send Aberdeen fc to foot the bill. im raging we can all choose to do this but have respect for our fellow human beings and trying to do our bit to get rid of C.V.,

Irresponsible and reckless behaviour that may put the whole fixture list up in the air after weeks of careful planning and stringent rules and requirements that were well explained and highlighted.
Unfortunately far too many young fit people reckon - so what if I get it? I'll be fine and to hell with everyone else.
I agree with the anger from the First Minister and everyone else who is doing everything correctly and they deserve repercussions; but I think if you hit Aberdeen with sanctions, it won't be long before another club will get caught out and then the season is in chaos.

07 Aug 2020 15:34:15
I hope the SPFL insist Aberdeen have to play games even if it means fielding youth players. An example has to be set.

{Ed007's Note - The St Johnstone game is being played on the 20th and the SPFL have said that Aberdeen's next two matches against Accies and us will go ahead as scheduled.}

07 Aug 2020 15:38:55
100% agree its irresponsible and reckless. Wouldn't deduct 3pts as i think it could easily happen to us. Just the other day LG through a house party for his bird's birthday. Be hard controlling C.V. as more things open up. Not wanting to jeopardise league over something that could effectively be out of our control.

07 Aug 2020 15:47:04
The SPFL will need to get some sort of rules issued
for all clubs that don't follow the guidelines. They will need to look at all scenarios that could happen due to C.V. and let everyone know what regulations they have for the rest of the season. As in punishments for non compliance, how many games need played before null and void can be rolled out etc.

07 Aug 2020 17:12:53
It was reckless and irresponsible from the Aberdeen players.
It’s not the first time the rules were blatantly broken.
A couple of weeks ago 9 Untested Sevco players played against the Dundee Utd first team and that was swept under the carpet.
The rules will continue to be broken.
Until the SPFL put a strict punishment process in place.

Folks. wait a minute here.

Swings and roundabouts surely

Players wofe goes to a baby shower. gets C.V. . comes home. he gets C.V.2 players and 2 wives and kids go to park for a sunday stroll . the 2nd player gets C.V. .

They go to work on Monday. they are unsuspecting. they pass it on. and are involved in big groups . and so 12 get told to self isolate

This can and will happen . players cannot be shielded in everyday life .

Now these players did show disregard. but 1 could have gone out and then on the Sunday spent a day with 5 playing poker in someone's house. same thing

I think there is a lot of luck involved here

Mote, celtic players do not go around all week in Ghostbusters suits .

07 Aug 2020 18:20:32
They should deduct them the points.

07 Aug 2020 18:43:21
Lubomir, I don’t get where your coming from, baby showers etc. I don’t care what’s people get up to in their private lives, it’s up to each individual to do what they feel is right under current circumstances however football is no longer a hobby it’s a business and above all that like it or not those players broke the guidelines set out by the government regarding CV19 which ALL clubs agreed to before football was allowed to restart so in saying that can u not see where the problem lies here? Put it this way, St Johnstone train all week under these new circumstances only to find out 24 hrs before a game they can’t play because half the opponents team have went oot for a bevy after getting beat aff rangers and putting in a bang average performance? Have you watched mcinnes’s interview?

07 Aug 2020 19:28:29
Cheers Ed007 for update, I never knew that mate. I thought their games were postponed lol.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

07 Aug 2020 19:41:45
Their wives are happy to spend the money players earn, so have to follow these rules too. Football can only go ahead if everyone follows the rules, footballers wives should not be going to baby showers.

07 Aug 2020 19:43:18
By the way andyfitness clubs don't own players they own the rights to their services.

07 Aug 2020 19:49:53
The problem is not attending a baby shower (another yank import) , a beer garden or pub, or even a game of strip poker - it's observing and strictly adhering to social/ physical distancing at all times.
Being allowed to meet/ mingle does not mean compulsory body contact.

07 Aug 2020 21:08:04
As things stand.
Considine will be suspended for Aberdeen against Celtic.
He received a 2 match suspension for dangerous play last week.
Considine will now be suspended against Hamilton and Celtic.

07 Aug 2020 22:25:57
You can't expect punters to go into a pub and respect social distancing and C.V. hygiene after they have had too much of the amber nectar, it's up to the pub management to keep control and enforce everything that needs enforcing, if they have to hire more security, that's what they need to do, and put the price of the booze up to pay for it, if they can't control the pub environment, the police need to shut them down on the night, and keep them shut, untill it's safe to have a drink and obey the C.V. rules, the Aberdeen players aren't to blame here, the pub managers, who allowed unmanaged queues outside their premises and probably a free for all inside, are the ones to blame, maybe it's a bit drastic, but if they don't obey the rules any offending pub should lose their licence and be closed down pronto.

07 Aug 2020 22:59:56
Lubo after reading your post I thought it was going to ask at the end. What's the wife's name? 😂😂😂.

07 Aug 2020 23:57:07
Anne Marie.

08 Aug 2020 07:34:57
Aiindoh, u say the Aberdeen players aren’t to blame here. read what derek mcinnis has said on this matter and I think you’ll find the players most certainly did do wrong. Like it or not in these current times 8 players going out to a pub/ restaurant is against the protocol set in place by the governing body, the government and all the spfl clubs have agreed to this in order to get the game up and running. Make no mistake a repeat of what these clowns did will likely result in the game being shut down again and going by sturgeons reaction to it it doesn’t look like she’ll hesitate to do so. Listen any other time outwith this CV19 clearly what they did isn’t an issue it’s normal, but this isn’t normal times and these guys get paid handsomely to do what they do. If they wanted a meal and a bevy that much why not stay in the bubble the club have worked hard to protect and use a hospitality suit inside pittodrie?

08 Aug 2020 13:26:20
Nothing like staying the obvious stephbhoy2.
They pay there wages they feed them train them motivate and encourage all in all look after them. They have been asked to stay indoors and like you g teens they ignore there arogance is humiliating for Aberdeen. I would soon let them know I'm in charge here and I the fans pay your wages you had better remember this
follow the rules like everyone else and don't bring a football club down and embrace it. I wonder what the dons fans are saying I bet they can't believe it.

08 Aug 2020 20:00:57
I cannot see how pubs within 10 miles of stadium can be open on days when even
one third of the stadium max crowd, are attending . These islands show that we don’t handle alcohol very well .

09 Aug 2020 19:29:52
so are football players not allowed out to socialise? they have been tested positive. have we heard any of them having symptoms? just seen some one wrote they caught CV19. c'mon now this is a wee bit silly. this virus is nothing to be shutting the planet down for. the more you test people the more your gona see positive results. should be concentrating on how many people are dying from it. survival rate is like 99.7%. this all my opinion each to their won. but common sense tells. u can't even be not well now that u have been tested for C.V.

09 Aug 2020 19:30:23
What a total load of rubbish

The aberdeen debacle is a debacle HOWEVER players will not shield and there will be 1001 situations where players will inadvertently fall foul and suffer the consequences

The Aberdeen players where wrong to be out and being so brazen . but noone seems to want to acknowledge pr admit that players will or could contract CV and inadvertently ( like a domino effect) be the cause of widespread disease.

You don't have to do much wrong. Aberdeen pkayers WERE wrong and that's disappointing

This won't be the last time. Indeed, I don't think the season will roll on without havoc weighing heavily as we move in to winter

On Twitter I was ridiculed for calling the seasons end along with a minority of others. the rest is history

Behavioral scientists, if they were the betting sort, and knowing what we know about your average footballer in Scotland, would bet on debacle after debacle.
.

Ed when this happens please re post this!
