If I was the CEO of the club that are "very close" to signing Ivan Toney, I'd be asking Barry Fry why he's in the papers urging Celtic to come in and hijack the deal. The guy's clearly a clown and gives me the impression there's not as much concrete interest in Toney as he expected and he's getting desperate.

He's a right wee 'Arthur Daly' cockney wide boy and although Toney would do very well at Celtic - and he seems keen, the Peterborough Chairman and co are playing 'The Price is Right' with the lad and trying to set a bidding-war and Celtic will not participate.
It's yet another soap opera in our 'windows' where there always seems to be a stumbling block, hinderance or obstacle to complicate our transfer activity and frustrate.

Good point Kev. I get the impression we're the only bidders too. Ferguson said he needs to sell Toney in order to buy so I say make them sweat a bit then go back with a marginally higher offer.

Absolutely Mally but surely you can see how disrespectful it is to do it through the press when you've already got a deal that's almost done with a different club.
