Ed, I know your thoughts on Bayo and I can't see us making back much of the fee at all so do you know if there's any interest in him for a loan deal?

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything, Kev but it's best for all concerned if he moves on, sadly it's just not working out for him at Celtic just now. Just for the record, if it's only a loan I hope he he goes away and smashes it and comes back to us a better player than he is. There comes a point where younger players need to be playing competitive football week in and week out no matter what level that's it, that's the only way they will improve and show what they're made of. Just look at McGregor and Christie for the how it can improve players and it's one of the reasons I think a colt team in the lower divisions would be a good thing for us but maybe not for other teams in those leagues.}

Cheers Ed. It must have been tough for him because every time there's a window of opportunity he ends up picking up a daft injury. Hopefully he can get a confidence boost somewhere.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

Doesn't help that he's tom Kite. His touch is woeful. Think we should be blaming the scouting department for this one. At least we had seen Christie in action before signing him.

I would be quite happy if we offloaded Bayo and Rogic to be honest.

Brentford done away with there youth academy and decided to go with a B Team. That’s completely working for them and that shows that playing against men at a young age brings you on a lot further. 16-20 year olds need to be first team players in that age range to hit there potential.

Ed Dundee utd have just made a partner ship with alloa I think. Celtic should do that with a team in each league below us and a couple down south. Get every one of the promising player out playing.

{Ed007's Note - That's a good idea, Kev.}

I've been questioning this for ages Kev, almost like a feeder team where the lads will get game time, and test themselves at a competitive level.
Not sure the rules on this, I know other clubs like Chelsea use Vitesse, I think its a great opportunity, and in all fairness if Celtic don't see their youngster making it they could give that club first refusal at signing the player, gives the lads a better chance of making it in the game.

What's the difference between a feeder club and sending the boys out on loan? We've used that a fair bit in the last season or two. We've used St Mirren, East Fife, Alloa, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Morton, Dundee Utd, Dunfermline, Ross Cty, Falkirk and Partick. Not to mention the two or three foreign sides.

I think a couple of advantages of the feeder club is that we build a relationship with the staff there and if we have a few players going out, they might settle easier and quicker especially the young boys.
