I really don't think there's been to much criticism of the 2 games.
"These meaningless friendlies"as everyone calls them do actually have a meaning to them.
What I learned from them was that the squad isn't as big or doesn't have depth as I thought it had.
Thats not a criticism that's a fact.
I would be worried if that was the squad for the season but am sure the club will bring much needed new faces on.
There must be a push to qualify for the CL along with a good start to the season.
We have 1 keeper,2 chs,1 rb and injury prone rb,1 half decent lb,1rw and now 1 fit lw and thanks to LG only 1 striker you can trust.
So imo the friendlies where not meaningless, they showed there is work to be done in the transfer market.

Tbh kev, a few years ago I would have probably been panicking also haha.
But celtic will work the celtic way.
I don't think any reasonably mind fan would argue that we don't need players in.
Because its blatantly obvious we do.
But the celtic way isn't to do our business to early.
As I said, I for one really enjoyed the 2 games.
But win, loose or draw there is a purpose to these game.
Players getting fit, can anyone stake there claim. it all counts.
I think the frustrating part is that as fans, when you see players leaving and none coming in the perception is the club are doing nothing.
But its not the case. players will coming in and by the end of the window we will be stronger.

Do you remember the broken crest after the USA tour 1 year? These games are used toget sharpness and fitness up yes we all want signings but the windows just opened.

It's all about fitness at this stage of pre season the scores don't matter one bit .
I personally think the 2nd string was ok and a few could come in and do a job during the season no bother.
We need another first team keeper and an experienced cb but I think the team that started will win 10 even if we never added to that.

We have played two friendly games that's it you can tell nothing in that except last 20 mins of the Lyon game will be something like our first team. We looked gd. Every year @ed007 the same crap how do you keep it together.

Plenty of positives really I don't think we played too bad against Lyon or Nice. Boli non existent at LB far too easy attacking down his flank as he's anonymous usually no where near the position he should be in. The rest all done okay considering the circumstances.
