Anno there's speculation around our top players but surely for one season only we could resist top dollar. if these players maintain form and fitness then the club will get more this time next year . As long as we are protected by there contracts which to be fair to Pedro he's usually on the ball.

Our 2 biggest assets Edouard and Ajar have only 2 years left on their contracts.
If they don’t sign a contract extension their valuation will half going into their final year.
If they refuse to sign extensions, Celtic and Lawwell will have big decisions to make.

guys i have been critical of mr lawell in the past, but look were he has got us. we have 9iar a treble treble going for a quadruple i think it is time we trust him for the last hurdle and deliver 10iar.

Beating Barcelona. no biggy. Unbelievable that you think getting champions league for 4 seasons isn't good enough. Cluj and aek Athens we should be beating but qualifying for champions league isn't easy now and we made up for it every season by having a good run in the Europa.
Is it lawells fault Lennon decided to play cal at left back vs cluj?
4 champions league appearances and qualified out of tough Europa groups 3 times.
Some people are just never happy.

Ed007 i usually bow to your great experience, but us getting 10iar will supersede my wildest dreams and that of many celtic fans. yes europe could and should be better but we need to accept that the quality o players we need to progress to the levels you would like are just not going to come to us. let us revel in our great success we are having now and start to concentrate on europe when we eclipse that manky mob from the dark side.

Being happy to be in the EL is just another example of Celtic kidding on they're a big club but being happy with mediocrity. Celtic like to act like a big club but rarely show the ambition to be one and that's down to the people running the Club, in particular Peter Lawwell.}

mine is 10iar as i did say i have been critical on mr lawell and my previous posts will back that up, but in this period of time i have only one wish.10iar. after that i will join you in asking for the best for the club.
{Ed007's Note - The 10 in a row is blinding people to the fact that we haven't progressed in Europe at all over the last 8 years, even this year in the EL we went out with a whimper to Copenhagen after beating Lazio. Think of the finances - and players - who would be available to us if we had qualified for the CL every year AND if Lawwell would spend money and spend it on quality.
Just wait till the meltdown on here when we don't qualify this year again and you'll see how important fans think it is.}

you don't like lennon the board etc.
cant you admit we are in a gd place financially bringing through young talent what we are supposed to do for a well run club. ED007 which is more important than spending huge just to qualify.
i like qualifying with players who don't cost much or making a huge profit selling players.
what if the board where not as astute as they are and spent millions on what and who.
you say lennon was the cheap option does it matter the cheap option is doing ok the club are doing great making players huge profits we have team who are n a gd place and sale value rocketing, great merchandise deals going great season tickets flying out the door.
have a look across the road at there desperation to get winning again that could have been actually that was us at one time not now.
{Ed007's Note - Have a look across Europe and see teams with far less money than us consistently qualify for the CL Group Stages instead of comparing us to an 8-year old club that needs loans from directors to survive, the comparison with them is pointless and is just an excuse used by the board's fanboys that they can do no wrong.
If you're happy to be seen as a big fish in a tiny pond then that's up to you, but if Lawwell agrees then he should come out and admit it to the fans.

The leagues our bread and butter every season. Europes just a side show bonus. Not good enough for The Champions League but should be competitive in The Europa League. Beat by Cluj and the Danish mob was poor in Europe. Beat by Livi and the Rangers was worse. PL and the board are happy every year raking in their bonuses. They patronize the fans every season renewal time yet it's in our DNA to back the Club till the day we die. This season we can win 10 in a row, A quadruple treble. 2 trebles in 1 season. 😎ðŸ€.

Ed 007 I hear what you are saying i get what you say about Europe.
Are we that far away tho little unlucky but win every other cup which is available.
We have the players maybe a few tweeks but the players need to take responsibility we have been building well and getting stronger.

The season starts in 3 weeks and we have Scott Bain as our only first team GK, our LB position is up in the air with Bolingoli looking like a £3.5 million dud and question marks over Taylor, we have a young kid in Frimpong and an injury prone Elhamed at RB, we only have 2 recognised CBs and one of them looks like he's for the off, we build our midfield around a 35-year old CDM who is far too negative in his play and now with LG looking to be out for a while we only have Edouard who has played any part in our success up front.
Even with Klimala doing well in preseason we are short up there, especially if we're going to go with 2 strikers and what happens if Edouard's head is turned by an offer from abroad?}

Last season I thought we played gd winning football enjoyed watching it and even when we went a goal down over the season I thought we where going to win. teams did seem stronger I never really look at stats
but I was wondering if teams like Motherwell Hamilton rangers Aberdeen Hibs etc had gained more points over the season if that's the case league maybe getting a bit tougher
Few of the newer lads are getting there first preseason behind them as you know Celtic have a habit of trying to get players rushed in after qualification it never works. I think they have learned. Few boys new will be ready. Maybe boli Taylor soro klamila Julien moi elhamed can all up there game and push on with a great preseason behind them we can sus them out. The goalkeeping position is a prob let's see what happen transfer doors not open yet. Maybe a few young lads coming through. I don't think we need to many more player edd007 we need a stronger reliable bench we Johnny love or loathe he run himself ragged and put in a shift.

Okidoki ed007 that's a fair point.
So far so gd surely we will strengthen if Celtic would only get new players broke in and ready it seems an obvious thing to do. Not to many tho ed007 keeping an eye on cost we are not to desperate or to far away right back cover someonr who will fight for first team. Centre back. And pos bring few lads and actually give them a chance.

Agreed same thoughts here ed007.
I think it's starting to work for find cheap talent give them a proper pre season start to bleed in young lads. Then repeat this yearly.
