He was outstanding again he's really kicking on after his injury.

His work rate is immense when he's fully fit. A top top talent and humble guy.

Good luck to the lad. His ability should never have been in doubt. HH.

We all knew he was the best full-back seen at Celtic since Danny McGrain and when you compare the £25m with some of the prices quoted for English and foreign players in that position, we were mugged.
Far too often our top players are literally 'nabbed' for a fraction of their true value because they play in an inferior league or poor relation in terms of financial clout.
In recent years we have sold quite a few star players and almost immediately their valuation rockets sky high, but most are not that different from when they donned the Hoops.

Rayman in all honesty I think KT would of stayed at club for a couple more seasons, had he not been booted up and down left side of pitch as much as he had been past couple of seasons. Only way teams in Scotland could stop him and sevco still utilise those cheating tactics anytime we play them- try to injure our LB and RB.

Now Tierney is doing well in EPL, I reckon he is only going to get a hell of a lot better and will be injured much less as he was in Scotland.

Sevco- New club, same old cheating mentality.

Phil - not sure how a post about KT doing great in England and Scottish teams being financially mugged turned into Rangers bashing? But I get your point about the hammer throwers in our league perhaps being an influence on him leaving. Although I would hazard a guess it had more to do with the boy Robertson at Liverpool winning the League and CL. If he can do it then I suspect KT saw that and wanted the same opportunity. I know other factors would also be in play too. I don't blame him tbh.

While we do get short changed in the transfer market it is comforting to see that here, at Celtic, we continue to smash the glass ceiling in Scottish transfers. It now stands at £25m with a probable sell on clause taking it to maybe £30m depending on circumstances. If guys like VVD, KT and the French lad continue to excel after they leave us then that is a golden bargaining chip when negotiating the next big transfer deal. "Guys that leave Celtic go on to achieve things in better leagues" equates to more glass ceilings getting smashed. Its slow progress but progress none the less. Their continued success is OUR success.

Stay safe, stay sane, but most importantly, stay champions.

Couldn't care any less if Tierney is doing well for Arsenal. He's not playing for Celtic so who cares.

08 Jul 2020 18:23:41
Thats the spirit ninja.

Stubsie if you read opening post you would realise it was a sarcastic post towards all the sevconians who have been shouting mouth off about KT not being good enough.

09 Jul 2020 10:33:52
A lot of us care Ninja, also a lot of us don’t have a childish mentality when it comes to one of our own wanting to be the best he can be and also be financially secure for him and his family.

Phil - to use the vernacular of the times "My Bad". Never took the time to equate your comment with the original.

Ninja - he may not be bombing up the wing for us anymore but if we can have guys like him achieve at a top 6 club (I think Arsenal are top 6 still? ) it potentially augers well for us. It shows we have a great academy, it shows we give youth a chance, it shows that we DO have massive talent in our league, scouts take notice and come to see our players so demand creates wealth, it let's young guys "we steal" from other clubs realise that Celtic is a great place to improve your game an so want to come here etc etc.

There is the flip side of course where it becomes hard/ impossible for us to hold onto these guys long term as a result. But football is also a business I'm sorry to say and to maintain our dominance we also have to pay the bills.

My own opinion (for what its worth! ) is that I enjoy seeing our ex players excel. MADE IN SCOTLAND, BY CELTIC.

Later Champions.

I take pride in our former players proving themselves in better leagues. English pub league panty wetters told me VVD was Tom Kite. Now he has improved playing in pub league. Nothing to do with learning how to be a winner of course. Same with KT. Better than Robertson I said. The panty wetters laughed. He will prove it though. Of that I have no doubt. Couple of years at Arsenal then move on to a truly elite club. We need the interest in our players. Need to sell at the right time. And also need to continue to find these hidden gems. Hopefully at some stage we end up with a team full of future superstars at the same time and we can go further in Europe.

Geez piece childish mentality. I don't support Arsenal. Why would i care if Tierney does well for them. You can keep the sentimental clap trap. He doesn't play for the team i support end off.
