If the league cannot be completed this season. Does anyone think it would be feasible to play the last eight game's of this season mid week next season.

We could also extent the league by a few weeks due to the number of game's

Or do you think the number of game's makes the idea a non starter.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be in favour of something like this Weemope, could bin the Betfred cup to free up matchdays. Probably financial, sponsorship and TV issues would put an end to this idea.

Weemope, I don’t want the league title this way. Whether we play the remaining games next week, next month, next year or in the next life we should play them and take the title legitimately. Celtic should refuse to accept the title and hopefully the loss of revenue will burst them in their second incarnation again. Otherwise we’ll never hear the end of it. They’re still marching around the streets of Scotland celebrating a fight they won across a wee burn in the north of Ireland that nobody cares about. They have inordinately small brains and equally inordinate long memories. Play the remaining games whenever and pump them.

There will probably be European games to be played in August.
It is frustrating when it would only take less than 4 weeks to complete.
I still think the best option is to play the 8 games to finish off the season. Take a one week break to sort out fixture lists and then play a 32 game season which will make up for the lost time.
A 12 team league play each other twice (22 games) and then the top and bottom 6 play each other home and away for another (10 games) .
The only problem I can see with that would be BT sports who would want to show some of the 2019/ 20 games after their contract runs out.

Weemope69, I hear what you're saying but from what's being reported it seems likely the Premier league season could be brought to an end shortly with Celtic being declared Champions. In an ideal scenario we could play out the remaining games but the times in which we're living are far from ideal and to be honest, I don't see how the mob at the SPFL would cope with the extra games.

I'd be in favour of playing the games some way or another if it's possible. Why wouldn't we want to do that? If we're awarded the title without playing the last 8 games then so be it, that's 9 clean titles and counting but I'm sure you'd all agree that it would be great to be awarded the trophy at a full house Paradise. It's not as if we're gonnae lose it to the Sevvies and it would sicken them even more. They've watched it slipping away since January, now they have a glimmer of hope that either we won't get it or it'll be tainted or whatever. What better way to stick it up them than to win it with all games played. Oh that'll hurt them even more! HH.

I hope the remaining games are played in a few months and not a penny gave out to the last games are complete. They will then beg and plead for cash and once again blame everyone. The Blame shifters 😂.

JFP why would this title be unlike any other. A league campaign is over a season with the team with the most points winning the league. Therefore if the SPFL decide to call the league over it is their choice. We would be the rightful winners as have built up more points than other clubs have in the season. therefore the title is as legitimate as any other and this pish that it's not should only come from sevvies. I'd be happy to hold out for a while and see what happens in next month but the league is legitimate no matter what.

Bob, even that's not fair. Before the lockdown Celtic were flying and the wheels had fallen off that mob's challenge, we were due to play them on the back of a 3 -1 humping from bayer effectively ending their UEUFA
cup run with more to come in the second leg in Germany, Slippy had been throwing them under the bus for weeks and El Coo looked like he lost all interest. You can't replicate those conditions if the league kicks off again to finish the remaining games, we will have a mini league where they will fight every game like it's a cup final and kick anything in green and white off the park. How do you account for the mind set of other clubs players who may have been impacted financially, contractually and emotionally due to this terrible virus.
