With hearts asking their players to take a 50 percent pay cut during the unplanned downtime I wouldn't be against us asking players/ higher earners too take a small paycut (10-15 percent) and the money being put into a fund for the non SPL clubs we should remember the origins of our club at times like this. Our wage bill is over £1million/ week according to our accounts. Teams like Raith are crowdfunding for 25k when we have individuals earning more per week. I don't think the government should have to bail them out when they've got many more deserving causes/ sectors. Tin hat on.

Perfectly sensible and noble idea.

It’s all fine and well bailing out the other clubs and then the Spfl ask them to vote on the outcome of the league because they have no backbone. And we know what the result of the vote would be.

It wouldn't be about "buying votes" tho. It's not inconceivable that the majority of teams will fold without some sort of stimulus. We can't play in a league by ourselves at the end of the day.

I'd rather we used the money to pay the staff who work in the shops stadium restaurant and such during this time whilst they're not able to go to work.

Take care of our non footballing staff. Our money will dwindle very quickly.

If some of the wee teams folded, like Forfar, Brechin, Arbroath and Montrose, they could resurrect as Mearns United, have a brand new ground central to them all and plenty of money in the bank. There are far too many small teams in Scotland.
