Said on the live-chat last night that certain referees (especially in away games) are turning far too many blind-eyes against persistent assaults, infringements and fouls on our players, sometimes waving play-on with no subsequent punishment. Whereas a first offence by a Celtic player immediately goes in the book.
Last night's referee was a prime example.

Rubbish Kev, his trailing leg came right through the back of Frimpong. Just because he won the ball doesn't make it a good tackle.

Stevie the tackle was not out of control, was not off the ground, was not a lunge. He takes the ball cleanly then plays the man well after.
This is a contact sport.
I take it you think jozo on miller was a poor tackle as well stevie?

Jozo on Miller was a totally different tackle, Millers momentum brought him in contact with Jozo after Jozo had cleanly won the ball, last night Power went straight through the back of Frimpong with his trailing leg .

Frimpong was targeted right from the start with no protection from the referee whatsoever, he been taking off injured was purely down to a matter of time. It’ll continue in most games because of the attacking threat and incredible talent. As brooney says if he tackled like that it’d be a straight red!
