In response to Greenclover’s earlier post, I think the tactical change that Celtic is most crying out for is for the majority of the players to show much more aggression and determination than what was on display during the December game with Sevco. This for me means that players like Johnstone and Morgan, although they are very talented young players both should miss out until they toughen up.
I think that Neil Lennon made a mistake by not starting with Nitcham in his line up (I know all the arguments about how this can through other key players out of preferred positions) as he can fight and dig in when required.
I sometimes think that TRIFC players and coaches are more determined to stop 10 IAR than the Celtic players and board are to win it.
Sevco have become stronger defensively since Katic replaced Helander after his recent injury. He’s a player who has aggression and determination in abundance. I didn’t see too much of that spirit on display at Celtic park.

basic defending cost us a point, julien had 2 headers cleared off line because rangers put a player on the post at corners, rangers 2nd goal came from a corner and katic put it into an empty net because celtic didn't do the basic thing. Kennedy was a defender you would think he would advise these things.

As well as a striker anď a cb I think a right good combative midfielder is needed wanyama would do if not someone of that ilk. easier said than done.

We definitely lost both games to them over the last 12 months and were very lucky in the cup final because we were out muscled and out fought in midfield.
If Lennon is going to change his tactics against them then we need to play either a 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3 and match them in the middle of the park and for god sake he needs to get away from this zonal marking at corners and free kicks and get men on the posts.

Tyson Kennedy yeah was a defender, but he is not a defensive coach, the final say about tactics and positions will ultimately be left for Lenny to decide, why blame the coach when like you said its a basic thing, should the defenders or midfielders not pick that up and sort it out between themselves Broony is our captain, should he not be aware of that danger and get one of the players to do a different job? Our battle was lost in the middle of the park on both occasions, we just got a bit of luck in the cup final.

There is absolutely no doubting the differing attitudes of both camps and it has to be addressed or there will be massive wailing and gnashing of teeth for a very long time afterwards.
I think there has been a complacency shown by us based on a number of 'hun-skeplings' since 2015 where we went around a dozen unbeaten.
Clearly there has been a shift in preparation, determination and performance, from Sevco since Slippy and McAllister took over, whereas we have failed to adapt and match their aggression and fight.
At present we definitely have far too many small, tippy-tappy types and not enough guile, power and directness to take the initiative.
The worrying thing for me is that I don't think Lennon sees this?

Only problem with a 4-3-3 is who would be the 3 in the middle? You'd have to go for Ntcham in there with Brown and McGregor, Brown being the deeper of the 3 and Ntcham and McGregor pulling the strings. But we sacrifice having Christie at 10 then as I can't see Lennon dropping Brown although Ntcham, McGregor, Christie would be some midfield 3.
