WARNING A Timalloy rant below

As most on here know, I am NOT a fan of Lawwell or our Board, or our majority shareholder Mr Desmond (bring back The bunnet)

Firstly, the bold Pedro, his interference at times on transfers has cost us dearly, prime example being his handling of the John McGinn saga who SHOULD have been our natural replacement for Brown.
Today the rumours are of a Polish striker available cheaper than our other targets, this is classic Lawwell, tease fans with big money signings then go CHEAP, also his dithering is one of his MAJOR FLAWS, I hate sevco and all they stand for, but at least their board identify a player and then ACT QUICKLY, something Pedro never does.

I mention Fergus earlier, imagine if he was still in charge, and the late Paul McBride still around, the bunnet would have put the SFA shysters firmly in their place and Mr McBride would have had them entangled in all sorts of legal issues.
The SFA treat us like second hand people BECAUSE of Lawwell who does not stand up for our club, Celtic Football club.

You are off your head if you want to bring back the bunnet. In terms of spending Desmond is light years ahead and most of the bunnets spending was done through fan's money.

That is not to say that I am not thankful for what Fergus done for our club.

I have a few issue with Lawwell myself but one thing we can be thankful for is that he won't jeopordise the future of our club by overspending and living beyond or means.

At the time of McGinn's transfer, I thought Lawwell handled the situation well. McGinn was about to enter the last year of his contract and Hibs were asking for a lot of money. At the time most people would have agreed that McGinn would likely have sat on our bench, so why would we pay over the odds for him?

I am sure Lawwell like myself, thought McGinn really wanted to come to Celtic and Petrie does not play ball now, we will sign him on a free in the contract. When it became evident that McGinn was about to move to Villa, we went in and matched the offer but McGinn and Petrie had decided he would be going to Villa.

The main signing that irked me was Stephen Fletcher as we were in desperate need of a striker at the time and we would have been ideal at the precise moment.

"I am sure Lawwell like myself, thought McGinn really wanted to come to Celtic and Petrie does not play ball now, we will sign him on a free in the contract. "

Should read - I am sure Lawwell like myself, thought McGinn really wanted to come to Celtic and if Petrie does not play ball now, we will sign him on a free in the summer.

Stop reading and believing newspapers Tim. Reading on here you would think it was the Sevies going for 9 iar and their 11th trophy on the trot, that's down to fools who believe all the hype about The Sevies in the press and online. On the subject of Lawwell he has done an unbelievable job of running our club, as long as he doesn't involve himself in team matters and stick to what he's good at.

How did Lawwell cost us McGinn when the boy himself said he chose Villaa because they promised him playing time and we didn't, I thought that would have been Rodgers but I guess it must be Lawwell that chooses who plays and who doesn't.
I regards to which players we are going after, the only player the Lennon has mentioned is Spoarer (spelling) and he only said that he is one of a number of targets. The rest of the stories/ rumours is the usual made up press scatter gun approach because they have no idea who we are after but I guess if you want to believe the press then on you go.

Tim come on be fair mate our club is the best run in the business financially and on the pitch. Mcginn irked me but we don't know the inside story it's only one player we are still racking up the trophies without him. sevco are again spending other people's money and are running at a loss every year and haven't won a major trophy. Maybe you'd like the lying king running your club.

I'm not a Lawwell fan however under his tenure we have been extremely successful both on and off the pitch. I do agree the McGinn saga was frustrating and at the time I believed Rodgers jumped ship due to the lack of backing. Lennon however has been backed and has managed to waste around 6m on Bolingoli and Taylor.

Stevie if you don't think Sevco are a threat to us this year you are deluded.

Guys you are all missing my main point. Under Fergus he stood shoulder to shoulder with us Celtic fans and called out the SFA time and time again. Lawwell and Desmond NEVER do.
Pedro knows he needs the SFA to get him a UEFA job when he leaves us and Desmond is just happy trousering dividends from us fans.

Bubs I've been hearing this "if you don't think Sevco are a threat this year you're deluded" for last 2 seasons, and that's from our own fans. Every transfer window panic sets in, every dropped point panic sets in. A bit of belief in our 10 trophies in a row team wouldn't go amiss. Wouldn't mind as much if the doubters came back at the end of the season and admitted they were wrong buying into the Sevco hype and doubting their own team .

Stevie I've never bought into their hype however they have a consistency this year that they have never had before. Gerrard has learned from his first season and built a strong, determined squad. Their results in Europe show this along with having the better of NL in the last two derby games.

Stevie did u watch the last 2 sevco games.

08 Jan 2020 20:40:19
Bubs of course they were going to get better, they've spent plenty since Gerrard has come in, nobody surely thought we would keep winning titles by 20-30 points. I truly believe we are still a class above them over the course of a season. The last 2 games against them keeps getting brought up by the doubters and how we were dominated by them, we won one and lost one 2-2 over both games, hardly dominated.
Anyway if we fail to win the title this season I will come on here and say i was wrong for doubting the doubters. Hope the doubters will do the same for the believers if we win No9.

Having just read Joe O'rourkes open letter to to Maxwell at the SFA I've got to say it's an utter embarrassment, the letter I mean. Capitalising random words and spelling mistakes aplenty, this does our cause more harm than good. Nobody will take him or his open letters seriously. This is an area where we excel but, Joe, leave it to our experts in this field.
