Would just like to see how many fellow hoops agree/ disagree with this.

I personally think after the game last week it's got to a point where enough is enough and a change of system/ players is needed. As bad it kills me to say it, of the past 5 games since Lennon has been back they've outplayed us in 4 of those and definetely have found a way to play through us. The only game we had pass marks was the 2-0 at ibrox and even at that Kent and morelos didn't even start that game. It's got to a point now where we've been absolutely rank rotten and are getting played right through and too many players are going missing.
I'm not buying the fact that the Forrests and christies have been unbelievable or whatever, yes they've done well, but they definetely go missing when we play them, especially Forrest.

For that reason alone and how poor we've been against them I honestly think we should switch it to 3 at the back and play frimpong right wing back with elhamed ajer and jullien at the back. This would give us far more solidity while providing the width of the fullback s to get up and down when required.

As much as I love edouard he's totally isolated when the rest of the midfield are crap so my honest suggestion is to play 2 up top to give them more to think about when we play them and pack the centre of the park so we can win those battles, that's exactly what they've managed to do to us and it's time we step up and do the same.

Thoughts?

{Ed007's Note - It's a no from me and it's not just against them that we struggle to really impose ourselves on the game imo. I'd prefer we switched to a 4-3-3 and let McGregor control the tempo we play at and really influence the game. Allowing Brown to be the main playmaker is a major problem.}

We played 433 for a while last season and didn't look any better. I agree though that McGregor should play in the deep lying playmaker role. Brown has his uses playing a killer pass isn't one if them.

If every supporter was totally honest, they would agree with your assessment of recent Sevco games, where we have been predictably outnumbered and outfought with several of our players bottling it.
It's not easy to admit, but a guy like James Forrest who has scored many, many important goals and performed well in European matches, just becomes invisible - along with usually two or three others - who we would rely on create chances and win us games.
The most frustrating facts (apart from star men going AWOL) are that our 'tactics' and formations have played right into their hands game after game and finally; Sevco are no world-beaters and are very average especially with a striker who can't hurt us.
On paper we have the strongest squad in the country, while they are mostly, an assembled who's - who from the bargain bucket.
Neil Lennon must take some of the responsibility for repeating mistakes and Slippy takes credit for moulding misfits into a consistent unit that knows their roles and steps up to the plate.
We cannot afford to play favourites again and again, who regularly fail to at least compete in these important title deciders and I hope we actually bring in some real quality to shake a few up.

I’m with you all the way Greenclovr. I’ve named my 3-5-2 team on another thread.

I always laugh when it’s said they played us off the park when Celtic beat them 2-1 with Forrest scoring the winner.
After 60 minutes Sevco had 0 shots at goal.0 shots on target and also 0 corners.
They started playing well after they scored with their first shot at goal in the match, it was their last throw of the dice because they were losing the match and well behind Celtic on points. It’s the least they could try.

Remember Celtic also went down to 10 men due to an injury to Boyata and although Lennon got out of jail because of his terrible substitutions on the day, Celtic still deservedly won the game.

I totally agree with Ed on this. McGregor plays at a faster tempo and Brown slows it down.

{Ed007's Note - Brown's still good at what he does which is breaking up play and harassing & getting in about the opposition but McGregor should be the main man when it comes to dictating our play.
Think back to the Keane/Scholes partnership at Man Utd years ago, Keane won the ball and let Scholes pull the strings.}
