Happy new year ed. hope you and everyone has a happy and healthy 2020.
Just thinking if we did get big vic and this new striker, with a fully fit squad what is your and everyone's starting 11.

{Ed007's Note - Happy New Year mate. I don't think we'll see Wanyama at Celtic but if he did come and Lennon sticks with 4-2-3-1 it's really only Brown's place I can see him taking.

----------------Forster-----------
-Elhamed---Ajer-----Jullien-----?--
-------Wanyama----McGregor-----
-Forrest------Christie-----Elyounoussi--
---------------Edouard-------

I'm not really convinced by any of our LBs and if Taylor isn't going to get a chance I'd send him out on loan and bring in someone else - I think the jersey is weighing Bolingoli down and the fans reaction to him during games isn't helping him, every misplaced pass etc is met with groans and pelters and that does get to players.
I chose Elhamed over Frimpong because I think he's a better defender than the youngster and defenders need to defend first imo. I did consider playing Frimpong at RW but even though Forrest is playing nowhere near the level he showed last year and dominating games he is still producing big time in the goals and assists department.}

Yes agreed on elhamd and elyounoussi, when both are fully fit they are massive for us.
Forrest splits the support and I like him but I would give frimpong a shot out wide.
I think the squad is gd but a new midfielder opens our options up massively. if not vic we have to bring someone in.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

Spot on Ed. I think it’s quality in the middle that we need most. I also think that we need to defend first and foremost I. e. Elhamed. Imagine having Forrest starting with Frimalimadingdong coming on to burst a defenders Skull.

{Ed007's Note - We've got quality in the middle in Callum McGregor who should be dictating the tempo and controlling our game and not Brown who offers very little in the way of setting up attacks. McGregor showed when Brown was injured that he can play as a deep lying playmaker.}

Ed think Lennon’s fav formation 3-5-2

So if Wanyama did come in I could see this
Forster
Elhamed Ajer Jullien.

Forrest Wanyama. Brown Hayes

McGregor
Edouard. Christie.

{Ed007's Note - 3-5-2 is too easy to counter against if you have pacy wingers and fullbacks who can chase long (diagonal} balls into the corners.}

It’s more attack minded and it gives u three in the middle of the park for a more stability gives u strong central shape with two strikers to operate up top bit old fashioned but l like the 2 up top the target man and poacher.

I know Broony took some flak after the game from some of the support and media; but, he was once again left with far too much to do between the inability and unwillingness of others to work harder or rise to the physical challenge in front of them.
We currently have too many lightweight ball-players who go missing in 'battles' or tight marking and we end up outfought and outnumbered.
The manager failed to address it after the Hamden game and even with Elyannoussi and El Hamed back, I can see it happening again at Ibrox.

{Ed007's Note - It's not just in games against them though, in every game Brown is controlling the tempo we play at and it's slow and lethargic - even Ajer drives the team forward more than Brown - and he doesn't have the passing range McGregor does.
I'm not saying we should drop Brown but we should change our style of play so that McGregor is pulling the strings from midfield.
As I said above I don't like the 3-5-2 but in a 4-3-3 we could have Brown doing the defensive/holding job with McGregor playing as a deep-lying playmaker and Christie/Ntcham doing the box-to-box job.
Our tactics doesn't allow McGregor to influence the game and that needs to change imo.}

Remember when Brown was out we had Calmac and Christie in the holding roles and the team looked sharper and more potent? Brown came back and it slowed. Never have Ntcham and Brown together as the pace slows to a funeral march and you've lost any needed momentum. Though having Christie in the holding role you lose his energy and drive, but, it can still be used when the team is in the final third. If Christie's role is as a No 10 then big Ajer can take over from Brown and bring another central defender in.

McGregor isn't fully utilised in the system we play. He's got so much more to offer.
