It's fast nearing the time when we will have to replace Scott Brown. We will have to look for someone who is a leader on and off the park. Can play as a defensive midfielder and as a box to box one. Could probably play in goals too if you asked him. Inspires all around him and is gritty and determined. Where do you find such a player and at a price range affordable to us.
Would love to be able to turn the clock back and buy the young Brown where we could experience his time with us all over again. ⚽️😊.

Broony has got better with age he's got a few years left yet. He has also not let himself go and pushed his body hard. It's a myth at 30.40.50 or even 60 you can still be in amazing shape. As long as you do not stop caring about youself.

Yet some on here don't fancy him the mans a legend.

I agree it's time to start looking for a replacement long term to do his particular role. But I recon we have another 2 years before age will be against him. The keys to recognise someone early, before it's to late.

I hear what Andy saying, and I get he's into fitness, but unfortunately it isn't a myth. Players don't ever keep there match fitness and recovery times well into their late 30s and 40s, especially at that level. I think we should enjoy the next few years with him whilst identifying an adequate replacement.

@4leafclover

Maldini sheringham Strachan R milla giggs
Zanetti, Kazuyoshi Miura. Kenny miller
These are just a few there are many more.
Gd managers sport psychologists motivators he has the right people behind him. Who will sort all this out.
I'm not saying every person can do this I'm saying broony can do this as he's made of stronger stuff and he wants to unlike rogic and a few others.
How many games has broony missed this season and last season etc due to not being fit. He has missed none.
Other than injuries his recovery rate is gd.
He's never on the injury bench never sick
The point I'm making is broony is one of these guys who looks after himself does the right things eats the right food etc etc.
It's old an fashioned way of thinking that
footballer is over the hill at 30 I'm not saying you are old fashioned tho 😜😜
if this is the case then the footballer are
1, injury prone
2, lifestyle his choices drink drugs smocking
3, the persons who give him advice on health and fitnesd
4 personal motivation and attitude
5 total believe in his ability.
We are in charge of our own bodies it's what we do with it thatvtuins it and hereditary. To stay at the top you need to look after it and treat it gd.
Broony does bug me when he passes the ball back to much or puts it to the side but all the Celtic team say broony is the fittest player at training these type of personalities don't come around much it all depends on what he want to do.
The same goes for us but hopefully our thoughts don't stop us first.

Name the north stand after him! Scott broon living legend lol.

I think it was Ronnie that turned his career around.

A lot of the players you mentioned, it was there quality they had that got them through.

Miller was done for quite some time.

I agree it's how you take care of your body that gives you longer time. But biologically the body's mechanical function gives way under wear and tear. The muscles take longer to recover, yes when they've recovered hell be good but he will need more rest time (hense the retirement from the national team) . I love him as a player, his aggression, his control of the game, he is one of the strongest players on the park. A range of passing and ability to break up attacks and at the same time create or control them. But I really recon 2 seasons and we'll see things slow right down. We need a ready made replacement at least 6 months before that happens.

Who would you think could fill his shoes be gd for him to show that player the way it is young calmac the man to take the reigns.

06 Dec 2019 08:05:44
Yeah that's what I mean Andy someone waiting in the last year to 6 months to take over. Calmac, is a fantastic player, but offers a completely different type of game to brown. Realistically I don't know, McGinn offered similar dynamics box to box and had more aggressive style, even if he was more offensive than brown, but that could of been adapted (like browns game) . I'd hope our scouting network is on it.

Mcginn, there's a name I've not read for a while 😂😂.
