He definitely seems like he doesn't have much more to offer. I stuck up for him earlier in the season because I think he does deserve recognition for some of his better moments but he's looking less and less fit for purpose with each game that goes by.

03 Dec 2019 10:39:45
Ed looks like quite a few people coming around to our way of thinking over rogic eh?

{Ed007's Note - There's no way he should be starting at CAM over Christie and the knock on effect that has on the team as Christie is never a winger and Forrest shouldn't be out on the left. With the squad we have Rogic should be on the bench and used as an impact sub until he can be replaced, probably in the summer.}

hard to disagree, with the development of Christie, and ntcham for no.10, Big Tams sporadic moments of magic no longer give him a pass for me.
some great memories, but so did Paddy McCourt!

03 Dec 2019 13:12:25
Doesn't score or assist anywhere near enough for a #10 at our club. Christie and Ntcham miles ahead of him plus Rogic far too injury prone.

03 Dec 2019 14:03:33
Rogic has not played much in over a year then injured again.
I no he's like cotton wool syndrome he scored weekend gd goal to. He needs a we run at zero injuries and maybe rogic keeps Christie bringing us the goods and competition for a place.
But get what you mean tho it's getting harder to defend my fav player rogic but this injury thing then playing for your country then injured again is not on.

03 Dec 2019 14:10:03
Paddy McCourt would have been better than rogic if he was under a gaffer like Lennon rather than Strachan.
Paddy should have been on in the last half hour of every game.

03 Dec 2019 14:11:15
Christie in half a season has now out scored rogics best ever tally for a full season.
That tells you all you need to know.

03 Dec 2019 14:55:43
I know he has been injured which is fair enough but I watched that game on Sunday and his only contribution was a deflected goal, not enough in my opinion. Christie as number 1 in the 10 role easily followed by Ntcham and offload Rogic. It's a no brainer, use the money from the sale to bring in a solid box to box midfielder.

@Kev83
It tells me nothing. You can't compare this and last season as
Rogics been injured most of it so if you are injured you can't compare anything. what's it been like a year on and off so the reason Christie has developed amazing is game time he may not have got under Rodgers and Lennon if Celtic had a fully fit rogic. Rogics absence fair doos Christie took his chance and what a difference he has made.
But Lennon knows an on form rogic goals and assists are great. Christie talent can now be seen by all of us. Do you not think we are a bit harsh guys got injuries it's someone every other week with some on here like Sinclair, wee Johnny ntcham for a while it was Lennon but it's went quiet there plus a few others have been taken apart by our own fans.
A player who is injured usually comes back hungry and like new player give rogic a few more weeks see what Lennie's plans are and see if we can get a fully fit rogic.

{Ed007's Note - Rogic has averaged 58 mins a game in the games he's actually been fit enough to play for Celtic since joining with 37 goals and 31 assists in 176 games, that's a goal every 5 games and an assist every 6 - if Lennon knows or thinks that's great then we've got a far bigger problem than just a sicknote Aussie.}

You forgot some minor detail @ED.
Important goals in crucial games.
Hes got the killer pass to someone who can assist a goal.
I just think give him till Xmas not saying he can take his place from Christie but he has that thing where making something from nothing.
He also virtually every game is man marked out of it but could stil produce.
Christie is on fire that's why he should be picked first. Don't think we can Wright him off yet 😛.

{Ed007's Note - You said "Lennon knows an on form rogic goals and assists are great" but they aren't, in fact they're miles away from even being decent considering how long he's been here playing for Celtic, he can't live off the odd wonder goal now and then - as Paddy McCourt and Tony Watt will tell you - and every game for Celtic is crucial and in far too many Rogic doesn't turn up.
37 goals and 31 assists in 8 years is appalling regardless of what games he's scored in.}

03 Dec 2019 20:28:58
I wasnt comparing THIS and LAST season fitness so I don't know where you get that nonsense

Rogics BEST EVER season got 12 goals. he's only ever made double figures TWICE.

This season christie has already scored 13 or 14.

That tells me something even if you can't quite grasp it.

03 Dec 2019 20:32:15
Hmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔
I'm not saying you are wrong.
I think if we could get him a long run of games he could get his form.
So the stats for rogic 8 years at Celtic. Says a lot imo is he not up there with the longest serving players but mainly wondering how much game time he missed due to injury or playing for his country it must be quite a bit @ed so those stats won't be bang on for games played v years at the club.
8 years is s long tong time that the managers before him must have seen something in him maybe my heart says he's got to Finnish on a high.
@ED How many years has rogic got left on his contract?

{Ed007's Note - You're proving my point, Andy, how many games has he missed from injury is crucial and is another reason why he never has and never will be reliable. The international travel and games is another myth as he's amassed 47 caps since his debut for Australia in 2012 and 5 of them were before he joined us.
His contract runs until 2023, he signed an extension last year after him and his agent found out that there was very little interest in him and any interest there was at lower league English Championship teams level or below abroad and more importantly a lot less money than Celtic pay him.}

03 Dec 2019 21:17:22
A long run off of games?
2017/ 18 he played over 40 times and got 8 goals.
Every thing you've came out with is disproved by actual facts.
37 goals in 176 games can not be argued with. It's a fact.
139 games he hasn't scored in from one of the most attacking positions in the team. That's shocking!

04 Dec 2019 06:52:38
It's not just his goals and assists that makes Christie the pick before Rogic. It's also his work rate, his desire, his tenacity, his will to win and go the extra mile for the team, his pressing game, his fitness levels, the list goes on and on. Infact I'm not sure I can pick one attribute that Rogic has over Christie.

04 Dec 2019 07:47:57
100% correct royjac, christie is just a far better player than rogic, my opinion on that won't change even if he scores a screamer and gets motm. It'll just prove his inconsistency. Not saying I don't want that to happen if he starts mind u.
