Totally agree that all this GB stuff is nonsense. I have been to Celtic since the 70s so don’t tell me the GB are only ones to create an atmosphere in the ground. Their collective egos is getting out of control.

Aside: I took my boys to see Orlando FC in Florida last year - and yes it was MLS - but the atmosphere was fantastic. Constant noise, drumming, chanting from their ‘hard core section’ for the FULL GAME. Tifo? Yes. (Controlled by the club) Pyrotechnics? Yes.
Political statements - no. Fined by MLS? No

Grow up GB and bring the best of yourselves to the party - or don’t bother coming.

There is no way a great atmosphere would have been generated for the whole game against Livingston on Saturday, if it was not for the Green Brigade.
There was a singing section at the back of the old Jungle before it was seated.
From 1993 to 2006 when the Green Brigade was formed, there wasn’t that constant singing and what the Green Brigade have done, is they have brought that old Jungle atmosphere back and I feel a load of our own fans underestimate what the Green Brigade bring to our players and club.
Celtic Park is a fortress because of the constant atmosphere the Green Brigade generate at EVERY game and the players feed of them.
Celtic have only lost ONE league game at Celtic Park in the last 3 years and that was the last game of the 2018 season against Aberdeen, which helped them finish second, so that one doesn’t count.
I believe if it was not for the Green Brigade, we would be dropping more points and the board would be risking 10 in a row, if they contemplate banning the Green Brigade indefinitely.

Have they not a right or a say who they give season tickets too they made the standing area took the money for there tickets and what ufea rules says goes for every club it not about atmosphere it's about money so go back to make it a seated area then give there tickets to people who will sing and cheer on celtic or except the fact that you made this a standing area knowing that this would happen rules are there for safety of supporters and it's no use brushing under the carpet everybody knows what goes on the songs have been sung on the terraces for decades with all the same results there used to be the jungle or jock stein rule forgot support celtic there is many songs about the jungle know it's all getting out of hand surely the club want supported with as many singing fans as they can muster as it helps the lads in big games person that supports celtic sings all the songs green brigade or not it's the celtic way ban the fireworks just like the drink but don't ban the singing as that's what helps the team n many a big game.

That's the point I was trying to Make Gallagher 67 until all of them jumped on me and started making stuff up about being pro ira because I believe the gb create a great atmosphere and more importantly, helps the team.

It's clear as day that the stadium isn't the same without them.

Politics should have NO PLACE IN FOOTBALL. End of story. The GB should be part of the atmosphere but not singing offensive songs. Celtic had to make a stance otherwise UEFA will come down hard on the club. Commonsense really. Its football everyone. Just football.

{Ed007's Note - I take it you're opposed to the Rainbow Laces Campaign Scott Brown advertised the other day, after all, - "Politics should have NO PLACE IN FOOTBALL" according to you? Politics and football are entwined all over the world, even UEFA have been known to drag politics into it when it suits and can make them look good.
Oh and Celtic have never faced any UEFA charges over "singing offensive songs" but if you think it's offensive to sing "F**k Lazio" to a group that marched through Glasgow giving Nazi salutes whilst the police watched on and done nothing then that says a lot more about you than it does the GB.}

Ed. Politics should have nothing to do with the game. IN THE BLOODY STADIUM. Yes its a police matter on the streets as what happened with the Lazio fans doing the person salute should have been arrested for disturbing the peace.

{Ed007's Note - But they are in the bloody stadium every stadium across Europe and in Scotland we've got months of poppies, SRtRC, the Rainbow Laces campaign, the young female Celtic fans that campaigned to get free sanitary products for women, Arlene Foster posing with TRIFC players and officials etc etc

Here's a statement from UEFA in 2013:

UEFA, Europe's top players and match officials will unite to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela in a ceremony to take place ahead of every UEFA Champions League game this week.

A 12m-by-2m banner reading 'Madiba, the world will never forget' will be unfurled before every matchday six fixture, with teams and referees to pose for pictures behind it ahead of kick-off. The former president of South Africa, whose actions helped precipitate the collapse of the apartheid regime in his home country, died on 5 December at the age of 95. 'Madiba' is the traditional Xhosa clan name by which Mandela was affectionately known.}
