Since February, Lenny has been in charge of Celtic for 19 league games ( half a season ), We have won 13 drew 4 and lost 2 games. In this period Lenny is 1 point behind slippy.

My biggest concern is our lack of goals in the first quarter of games (first 23 minutes) Celtic have only managed 5 measly goals in those 19 league games and one of those early goals was an equaliser against Motherwell.

It is an area that needs addressed because we have started to concede the first goal due to our slow starts, which is then contributing to us dropping points.
Sevco have scored 13 goals, compared to our 5 in the first quarter since Lenny took charge.

Goals at both ends LB10 statistically are a concern. Not only are the non-tax paying Govanites 1 point ahead but worryingly they have scored 4 goals more and conceded 2 less and thus have a better goal difference of 6. In order worlds ahead in every department. However it’s dressed up with respect to us having played an away game more or whatever the fact is they are top of the league and we’re no as they say. If we address both aspects of our game we’ll be top of the league come May and if we don’t we won’t be.

We are 2 points behind this season.
Under Lenny in the 19 league games, I have noticed if we score, we win. The only exception was the 1-1 draw with Hibs.
Celtic have scored in 14 of those games and won 13 of them.

Worryingly we have failed to score in 5 out of those 19 games and that is obviously where the points are being dropped. In that same period Sevco have scored in every game except in our 2-0 victory.
I still expect Celtic to have plenty of daylight by the winter break, granted after playing one game more ( v hearts ) and a victory in the Glasgow derby in December.

It's our away form that's causing the problem. We aren't clinical enough. Since Lennon took over we've struggled on our domestic travels. Apart for sheep last season and zombies, Motherwell this season.

Maybe the summer was the right time to replace Dembele as we didn't get chance to in January. Not to worry though, or balance sheets are fab.

You’re right guys it’s 2 points there’re ahead. I was focusing on the goals for, against and difference as it was the lack of goals that was the topic.
