guys I had an idea. every time I'm in town I don't like to pass buy homeless people without buying them something. there is a stall over in the blochairn fruit market boot sale which is on every Sunday that sells football tops that has been signed by players celtic and rangers the tops are genuine as the man who does them has picture of him with the players getting the top signed. I was thinking about getting a celtic one and auctioning it off on here if that would be okay ed. and everything that is made I will be giving to the soup kitchen for the homeless at Christmas and buying some Gregg's gift cards to hand out to them on the street at Christmas time. just had this idea as some one I know did the same yesterday with one for a charity night were it will be raffled off. what ever is made I will put 100 pounds to it myself. who would be interested in the auction. who ever wins I will meet up with them give them there signed photo and they can come with me to soup kitchen and to buy Gregg's gift card and hand them out with me if the like. just a idea I had and would that be okay to do on here ed. what's your thoughts guys.

{Ed007's Note - That's a great idea mate and I wouldn't have a problem with it if there's interest from the posters. For the past two years at Christmas I've been collecting for the Hamilton Foodbank (just over £2k over the two appeals) and will be doing so again this year from the 1st November until the last payday before Christmas.

I don't know how much the tops cost but it might be an idea to raffle it rather than auction it, instead of relying on someone with a lot of spare cash everybody would have a chance of winning it. I'd make sure to tell the guy what you're doing as well and you might get a discount.}

Raffling it at £5-10 a ticket brings in more money anyway and as ed says it gives everyone a crack at it. Id be happy to help, great idea.

brilliant guys. would you be able to help me with the raffling on here then ed I will be looking to do it round about end of November start of December time the guy who does them also does it for charity to mate so its a double whammy really mate wich is even better. ill donate to your page to mate soon as the 1st is here.

{Ed007's Note - My wee sis in law is does online raffles so I'll ask her about them, I'm sure there'll be an easy enough online way of doing it and making sure it's fairly done etc. 👍

cheers ed. was thinking also of maybe just buying a top myself and getting the whole squad to sign it. do you know of anyway I could get the top signed by the whole squad. im going to match on Saturday was thinking of maybe waiting for bus to arrive and ask one of the players if they could get it signed in dressing room as it will be getting raffled for a good cause will also get it framed.

{Ed007's Note - It's brutal trying to get signed stuff especially from the full team these days mate, you could maybe try e-mailing JP Taylor at jptaylor@celticfc.co.uk and asking him. JP's bang on and if he can help you will.}

Guys count me in, my only suggestion is make raffle ticket affordable for everyone say £3 or two for £5, four for £10 etc
Great idea and Good Luck.

A don’t mind going up training ground and waiting, done it a few times! Only 5!mins from my house! also know if you go there and hand the top in and explain what it’s for the club might let you pick it up a week later with it signed.
