No panic here guys and we deserved to lose yesterday can't argue with that.
We never lost due to the plastic pitch but it brings up many opinions on it.
I liked playing on them when I was younger but I hate watching football on it.
Youve heard of a game of thrones, well yesterday was a game of throw ins. Wud love to see the stats.
I don't know how many there were but we must have broke some sort of record yesterday it was that bad. And Livi had no corners just weird.
Again not blaming pitch but has anybody EVER seen a good game on them, win or lose.
IMHO all other teams in league should be fervently convincing the league to ban them.
It could also be a financial benefit to them which isn't fair on the likes of ST. Mirren who have grass. Def not a level playing field lol, soz stole tims joke book.

I think plastic pitches should be banned until they come up with one that is as good as grass. There should never be a situation where teams have to leave out players because there is a risk of injury to them.
The argument goes that these teams need these pitches so that they can hire them out to the community and make money, but in my view these are professional football clubs who play in the top division so their facilities should have to meet a certain standard.
Some football clubs have gone out of existence in the past but I would be surprised if any of them blamed playing on grass pitches as the reason.

Most of the games are played in the air and not on the ground. I wonder if we trained on a plastic pitch before the game.

I know airdrie have a plastic pitch but they've also got about 10 pitches for 5,6&7 asides round the stadium to hire out. Surely that could be possible at other grounds to help pay for grass pitches, it should be a given that every spfl club has a grass pitch, embarrassing that its not.

Top Dutch teams paid lesser clubs to stop using them. Maybe a way round it. They won't get banned UEFA had champions league final on one.

Maybe all of the club's could contribute a percentage of their income into a fund to ensure all the games are played on grass, it might not be long before the EEDD start having mass sitdowns on plastic pitches.

I've played on the livi one a few times and it's really poor, the 'grass' is a bit longer and meant to be better, but it's really not. High school pitches around the country are just as good!

Most youth players are now playing more games on these surfaces than grass. By time next generation of players come through they won't care about them.

Ask the young players that kev when they need to stop playing in their 20's. Those surfaces will cause a hell of a lot of injuries that are well avoidable.
