That's uefa at it again fines celtic for a European culture Polish clubs italian club Russian clubs Spanish clubs have all got ultras who go unpunished I've been over there and witnessed it and nothing has been done to these clubs. I don't agree with flares and health and safety issues but surely the security in these ground should search fans going in to the ground as this is a European culture when we go we get searched and can't take drink into the park.

our fans are the best in the world, where as the European fans are organised thugs and some Russian crews trained like the military as the uefa knows this. when do you see this get stamped out. even the cops beat celtic fans up. uefa should get a grip and stamp it out than putting out massive fines all European clubs are guilty of this we know what uefa are like but celtic have good travelling support loyal and don't go looking for trouble like the European thugs who carry weapons and take flares into there ground every weekend. just have to watch a Polish game or Russian game flares going off all the time Italy the same do they get fined every time there has to be a limit but we been fined again for something that happens in Europe every weekend.

Jock i agree it's bollocks but the rules are there and they have started punishing clubs from they countries you mentioned but just in the last few years.

You have already said you don't agree with flares so what you moaning about? Police don't go about beating people up that's more fairytales " it's all the cops fault". Are you saying it's the fault of the security that we got fined yet again for the moronic element we have? I have an idea, why don't Celtic pursue the offenders for the sum of the fine or better yet fans just behave like civilised human beings?

Malky you obviously were not in Holland when we played Ajax when the police did attack with no reason.

Jock your point about other ultra groups doing it in other country's and not getting punished is nonsense.

UEFA only have power to punish anyone if it's in European competition and they do everytime.
If it's league game in say Italy then UEFA can not punish them.

{Ed007's Note - It's been going on for years and the same happened to us in Vigo a few years back too, Kev, the police were hitting us with batons at the airport and in & around the stadium. The Club investigated it and contacted the Foreign Office to make a formal complaint to the Spanish authorities, specifically:
"The actions of the Spanish police towards Celtic supporters at the Celta Vigo stadium; the actions of the Spanish police officers towards Celtic supporters at Vigo airport".
Anyone that says the police in foreign countries don't attack travelling fans - especially fans from the UK as they see us all as English hooligans - without any reason have obviously never travelled abroad to watch any football so won't know what they're talking about.
I expect the same kind of heavy handed military style reception in Rome next month when we travel to play Lazio.}

Suppose they could set up a go fund me page to cover the fine eh 👀.

I think all he is saying Malky is we accept the punishment as long as there is a consistency. Without knowing all the facts I have to bow to others superior knowledge in respect that these fines are being addressed evenly across the board. However it will be easier to punish Celtic as we don't do this as regularly, possibly the clubs that do have this problem will be allowed a few warnings prior to help stem the behavior before the fines start to kick in? Either way we know if it happens fines will follow.

{Ed007's Note - Celtic were fined 12,500 Euros for two charges of letting of flares and throwing objects onto the field of play and AIK were fined 8000 Euros for blocked stairways during the match. These paltry fines are thrown around willynilly by UEFA and are merely token gestures for minor offences.}

The Swedish police didn't look like they needed much encouragement either ed.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

From what I read it was private security people who where attacking our Fan's in Sweden not actual police officers don't know if that's true I think it was a swedish reporter on Twitter that said it.

Welshy be careful the Lazio fans or a lot of them are seriously right wing (thugs) . The city is beautiful but have found that Lazio fans have nothing to do with Rome they tend to come from outside Rome Lazio is the region in which Rome resides and encompasses a lot of big towns outside Rome who feel disenfranchised and angry.
