I have never been a great believer in loan players unless an option to buy is available.
However this year i can see the value in getting in a couple.
Foster and Baeur are good choices in this as they are older and very experienced. They could be great buys or one year stop gaps whilst we scout long term players.
I would like us to make another offer for Benkovic for a year long loan with an offer to buy next season depended on CL qualifing.
If Meling or Taylor are not an option here too a loan might surffice. Meling contract runs out next year and we could offer a pre contract in January with no transfer fee.
I have also came to the conclusion that an outrageious offer to Liverpool for Ryan Kent could just be the final nail in the coffin of Servcos ambitions.

You were talking sense there until we got to "Ryan Kent". Why on earth would we want to sign him? To get one over the orcs by paying out good money for a very average player who would never make even our bench? The currents only want him back because of his wee moment with Broonie. I'd rather make sure we get one over them this season by winning and keeping them where they belong. Screw Ryan Kent!

I’m not being negative towards Bauer, but we have had long enough to source both full backs positions. Especially right back. I see it as short term view again, as we will be looking around for players again, preparing for hopefully the champions league qualifiers .

Oh let’s sign Kent to bam up rangers, let’s spend 7 mill on a player that’ll sit on the bench, let’s give him 5 million in wages over 5 yrs, that’ll show them 😂😂😂.

I wouldn't sign kent, but for those who are saying oh he'd sit on the bench wouldn't get a game etc you don't know a decent player if it hit you in the face, be real out of any of the players last season if you were asked who'd get in our team he'd have been the first pick.
{Ed007's Note - There's no way Kent would keep Scott Sinclair out the team and Mikey Johnston only scored one less goal than Kent's 6 and scored them in half the amount of appearances.
So if you're saying you would start Kent over Scott Sinclair who scored 17 goals and had 6 assists last season, why? Just because he was supposedly the best player at Ibrox doesn't mean he's good enough for the Celtic starting 11.}

At last, A bit of sense being posted Ed. Not ONE player would I swap from the Sevco for ours NOT ONE!
I previously said I would have swapped McGregor for our then No.1 but now we have big FF back am contented to say NOT ONE (Y)

Quinn we tried to get Bauer before he went to Stoke and we have the option to buy for less than 3 mill apparently so could be a good bit of business.
