See Prague beat cluj 2 nil over the 2 leagues to go into the CL. massive opportunity missed for us by the way! Prague must a been stunned that they didn’t get us in the play off round!

Stuart if you offered me cluj then Prague to get in the CL I would have took that! 2 very winnable games, especially cluj! Just a huge disappointment that our transfer dealings and idiotic team selection cost us a chance to play CL football and pocket a load of cash! Bitterly disappointed!

Prague are not that good, they would have been swept aside if Lenny had picked the right team.

Wasn’t impressed by Prague. Definitely think we could have put them out. Making a complete erse of the Cluj game was a traincrash we kinda knew was coming. Made worse by being entirely self inflicted through several headshots. Maybe one day we will realise we need to be ready.

Magic pole, with the loan signings we are getting in, it would seem we again haven’t learnt any lessons . The board must think we have bad luck time and again. The short sighted approach is happening again, as if we are lucky enough to win the league, we are shopping around early to try and replace the loan players.

Both cluj and Prague based on watching both teams should’ve been games we were more than capable of winning. Same opinion as others, we never seem to get business done early enough to give us the best possible chance to progress. Year in year out we try negotiating these ties with a view that we will really strengthen once the group stages have been achieved. Very short sighted view by the club and whilst we have no choice but to accept loan signings as the club seem quite content on going down that route, we need quality players on permanent deals to progress properly, what’s the point in getting loans in unless we have a right to buy as players come here, play well then go back to their retrospective clubs ie Roberts, benkovic etc etc.

Not being ready is our problem, i’m Glad we’ve got the right back in but the fact it’s a loan makes me wonder what we’ve been doing for the last 6 months at least. And let’s face it we’re not as ready as we should be for tonight and Sunday as we’ll be blooding someone unfamiliar with the team if he even starts.

The qualifiers come so early in these transfer windows, that the proper time to prepare for the following season would sensibly be the January Window. I appreciate the choice is more limited, but there may be less competition and they would have months to settle in.
At present the trend of selling a top player, then scrambling around for months 'patching up', while the qualifiers get tougher has caught us out too often. The club needs to learn from these mistakes.

Lennons tactics cost us could maybe have sneaked through with McGregor left back. Not to protect the lead twice was criminal.

Lennon should have had a drinks and drugs test after that cluj game I still can't get my head around any of his SO called tactics that night.
