PJF, the difference is Duff hasn't failed. Its his first attempt but Henke has been a serial failure on the coaching front. HH.

Did henrik not have either a manager or head coach position in his previous stints as a member of coaching staff? I’ve yet to hear of a youth coach getting the bullet for poor performances on the pitch. Always the top job - under all the scrutiny. I’d take Henrik as a coach over duff any day but I don’t think he would take the huge drop in stature to do it. He failed as a manager/ head coach - that’s doesn't mean he’s finished. I’d extend him the same type of appointment Celtic afforded Kennedy - he is there because celtic want him there regardless of how bad he is - he might be doing the business now (maybe? ) but he used to be a donkey. Henrik would be a great addition to the staff.

Can't agree with the people clamouring for Henrik, takes a certain type of person to be a coach, don't think Henrik's got the right personality, he is a perfectionist, someone who hates failure, don't think he could nurse and develop a blossoming talent without getting frustrated at what he sees as a lack of progress, but hey ho, maybe I am wrong.

Are you saying Kennedy was a donkey, the man had great potential as a player and was robbed of career.
From what ed has stated (I think) in previous posts is that JK has done very well as a coach and is in his position on merit.
I don’t think he’s there as a sympathy vote.
I’d sooner have henrick on the bench!

Kennedy went to the youths and worked his way up to were he is and by all accounts of people that have been coached by him he's a right good coach.
Duff was also highly thought of in coaching circles, though promoted quicker than he probably thought.
Larrson was a god on the park but he's a failure on the training field.
Also people coming out with he'd be a big inspiration to the squad?
Funny that because he's as big at helsingborgh as he is at parkhead and didn't inspire them to great things.
This jobs for the bhoys carry on went out with Whites and it should stay buried.

Kennedy has been preparing for his role for years, and i've not heard anyone from celtic say a bad word of the guy, larsson has not been a success in any coaching role so far, there's no comparison in coaching terms. I love the guy but I just don't see why he should get a role at Celtic until he proves himself in a coaching capacity.

I like the idea of Larsson taking a couple of training sessions with the strikers. I'm sure he done it before a gd few years ago and the next couple of games after it we were banging the goals in.
