Whether you like NL or dislike NL . whether rate NL or don't rate NL . Neil Lennon is The Celtic manager . He wasn't my first choice either. so i will ask the experts who is the best man for the job what is the alternatives
. if you want the manager out who is the correct candidate right now two games into the season . It's time to move on stop the negativity and the hysteria calm down.
Real Celtic men get behind the team and the manager. True Celtic supporters back there team and manager through thick and thin.

Well said pal 👍.

For me its more to do with the recruitment side.
If we buy the 2 Norweigan full backs.
Negotiate loan deals for Benkovic, Wanyama and Ibe.
That would cover the positions that the fans can see need covered.
They are all realistic targets and anyone could manage Celtic and we would win the league with those players added to the squad we already have. Simples.

Well said Tony. We all need to be behind the team and manager.
Remember the team that sacked their manager for losing one game, whilst at the top of the league, me neither.

21 Aug 2019 19:29:30
well said tony what iv been trying to say on here for a wile now. cut the negative stuff out its 9iar season let's get behind the team and manager. to many anti lenny posters on here that just want to moan about him and any little thing they can moan about. just completed a trebele treble and ye have fans on here right after lenny gets the job moaning.

21 Aug 2019 19:56:07
Lots of moaning recently
Lennon this
Lawell that
The club is up for sale
Rangers have backed their manager
And so forth
Everyone is entitled to an opinion but all the doom and gloom is brutal
Someone was comparing this period to the end of the Kelly and white reigns - you must be having a laugh
Three trophies in the cabinet enjoy it.
Football is always highs and lows some people will never be happy and just love a moan - hail Caledonia.

21 Aug 2019 20:33:42
Yeah your right Tony!

Get behind a manager who got us put out of CL because of his tactics and could of caused an even bigger embarressment getting knocked out cup at first hurdle by a mediocre championship team! Great shout!

He is out his depth and the rot has got to stop now.

@United Ireland it's funny how you preach about justified barrage Lennon has received and your perception that it is out of order, yet not one mention of his conduct towards Hibs players. You are of the opinion Lennon can barrage players yet fans are not allowed to say anything about him?

LENNON OUT.

21 Aug 2019 20:36:24
Can any off you tell me your happy with Lennon getting the job, going out at 3rd round qualifying or the pathetic recruitment drive for the 2nd season in a row? Real celtic men don't blindly follow they speak up when its crystal clear things aren't right and I'm one who's very concerned with what I'm watching, we should be light years ahead off that other mob but instead their improving and were going backwards.

I'm certainly no expert but if the board wanted to splash the cash then there are plenty of alternative managers available. Whether some of them would want to work in Scotland is another matter. I'm led to believe Rodgers was on over £50k per week plus bonuses bank rolled by Desmond so money for a top coach shouldn't be an issue if they wanted to do the same again.

The most worrying thing is that Neil Lennon and Steve Clarke were the boards only candidates since Rodgers walked.

Might be outdated but a quick search online shows the following managers out there who are available now :
Ranieri
Rudi Garcia
Quique Setien
Blanc
Moyes
Claude Puel
Spalletti
Oscar Garcia
Garry Monk
Sam Allardyce
Martin O’Neill
Tony Pulis

I think a lot of fans were dismayed with the Lennon appointment but most came round to the thought of giving him a chance. The Cluj result has him walking on thin ice. In my opinion Lennon is fully responsible as the team selection and tactics cost us this tie.

There is clearly a problem behind the scenes with the recruitment set up. I think most would agree with that, so this is not doing the manager any favours either.

Although its obvious we need more players we should have the players to qualify for Europa League and to stroll the league but then again we should have had enough to beat Cluj. This gives me no confidence that we will win the league this year.

I think if we lose to Hearts and Rangers in the next fortnight Lennon is gone. Even if we get 4 players in there is no time for them to bed in for these key fixtures.

Just posing a question for debate.
If Lennon does go, do we get someone with experience or give a go to a Slippy type character? What about John Terry -at least he could probably sort our defence.

21 Aug 2019 21:43:05
RJ10 the same way he has sorted out the Aston Villa defence, two games 5 goals against and no points .

21 Aug 2019 22:50:24
Can't see past Steve Clarke but out of that list I'd take Ranieri.

21 Aug 2019 23:16:35
@ Buster88. I don't know all the free managers that you have mentioned but I will say that I live in Rome and in recent years AS Romahave been managed by three on your list, Ranieri, Rudi Garcia and Spalletti, None of whom set the heather ablaze.
If I think about Moyes forexample, he diidn't seem a bad manager when he was at Everton, so much so that Fergie named him as his repacement at Utd. I don't think he could handle the pressure of being at a club which expects to win. Also Ranieri won the EPL with Leicester but right up until the end of the season there was no pressure on him as for Leicester to finish in the top ten would have been considered a fantastic season. I don't know if he would have won the EPL managing one of the bigger teams and under pressure from the start of the season to win it.
That is exactly what is required at Celtic where a manager is under pressure all year round. Especially now after the 8 in a row and treble treble. I don't think we can expect to cintue with that leve of suddess without a fight and Rangers are getting stronger every season. Whetherwe like it or not NL is the manager at present and for sure he is under extreme pressure to keep the trophies coming. He has a big ebough weight without us being on his case as well. We all had a problem with the timing of BRexit and for me if Lennon is to go then he needs to be given a bit of time and not sacked before the end of August.

@philltim. barrage players haha tell that to Fergie and all the great managers of old players are to pamperd these days. listen im backing the manager and the team wee sit top of the league through to next round of cup yes we got knocked out of champions league just the same as last season and I did not here calls for Brendan to be sacked wonder why. all youse moaning mob are doing is giving that mob across the city laughs and I tell you its big laughs my work is full of them. its a 9iar season get behind the manager and team we've just win 9 trophys on the bounce stop acting like spoilt brats. im buzzing for this season there's a challenge ahead and that's the way I like it.
