Main position is a rb for the moment unless we go three at the back or the unthinkable Ralston which would be a slight risk or even more of a risk big Hendry at right back that is our options as I can see?

Ralston more than capable for the first qualifier.

Ralston isn't good enough to be our permanent starting RB but he's also not as bad as some folk on this site like to make out. He got a run of games last season and looked solid enough domestically - which is about the level of CL opponents we'll be facing in Sarajevo.

Rich I don't think Ralston us as bad as your saying he was looking quite steady last year till he got injured but agree we need a rb.

Did you notice his passing against hearts? Woeful. There’s a reason Ralston was on that list with a question mark over his future for this season. We can’t go into any CL qualifier with him or Hendry anywhere near starting,

It was his first game in months.

He trains every day. It’s the same ball. If he was at us as a loan, would you want to sign him? Hopefully you wouldn’t. People keep talking about him purely for two reasons, he’s one of us and came through the Academy. If we had brought him in from an English club on loan no one would be arguing he was good enough. I wish he was. But he just isn’t. And not just his passing.

02 Jul 2019 14:16:55
I wouldn't sign just because he's one of us it's on ability so someone thought he was good enough he got a wee run before Xmas and was doing really well abd then got injured I'll reserve judgment till he's strung 10 games on the trot no an end of season training sesh.

02 Jul 2019 14:32:41
Magic if it's just about training and it's the same ball why do we bother having pre-season games?

I had hoped that Ralston and KT would form our full-back partnership for years to come - that's right oot the windae now as KT looks like he will move on and Ralston has never really established himself under the last three managers?
Which brings me to my other point:-
KT will be a huge loss as his 'engine', skill, reliability and consistency over the last few seasons has contributed hugely to our success, while Lustig - although, maybe on the decline lately - still held-off competition from Gamboa, Hendry and Ralston and was a terrific foil for JF on that right wing, contributing with many assists/ goals and trying on polis hats.
This season will see us starting the defense of our trophies with a new back four which will need time to settle and familiarize - considering we are still trying to bring in the right pairing to play alongside Jullien and Ajer/ Simo.
However, the quality we have been linked with is encouraging.
