They didn't say it was because he didn't play, they said it was the treatment he recieved from Lennon.
Maybe he was the one that was involved in the incident reported when Lennon was screaming and swearing in the face of one of the younger players and 2 of the older players had to tell him to get a grip.

Surely even the biggest West Brom fans couldn’t take that article serious. They know he’s hopeless as much as we do. If you can’t control a ball by the age of 8 he surely isn’t going to learn how to now.

It is hard to understand how a squad player from the mighty West Brom who was unable to get playing time in the english championship could not command a starting position in the spfl and play a full 90 minutes of every game, after all this is scotland not spain or italy. I would suggest to Arsenal if they want a £15million player they should bid for Burke.

Lennon had several fall-outs with players in his first stint - followed up with the incident (s) that cost him his job at Hibs.
Then there was the shouting in a players face, Weah getting the heave-ho, Burke and Sinclair frozen-out of the run-in and now KT looks set to leave the club he loves - no coincidence.
I accept players are spoiled rotten at times, but there's a way to communicate and motivate and another way to alienate and bully.
The manager needs to mature, mellow and have players content, wanting to play for him and Celtic - or the support will do the shouting.

Lennon has a track record of this and it's not getting any better.
We will find it hard to attract any kind of quality with Lennon in charge.
