Can anyone tell me the last transfer window where we came out of it stronger and generally thought “this was a good window “?
We seem to all have faith even up to the last day when we think the club will pull a surprise out of the bag, I can even remember Ed saying “ he’s confident another couple will be brought in then nothing from the clubâ€.
I honestly think this is going to be our toughest season for a while, there’s nothing to suggest we will got better form all of a sudden. With the squad getting whittled down we need to bring a bit more quality in. We got money in from Rogers plus wages freed up, so I’d like us to push the boat out a little. in fact I don’t mind us missing out on turnbull, he was a bit of an unknown quantity even though he had a great breakthrough season. But I feel we would have got him then sold Ntcham and or Rogic. I think we now have to look to break our wage structure maybe just for a special player, as we struggle to match wages elsewhere, which is obvious at we don’t get tv money like other leagues. I’m thinking 30-40 grand on a top player that could make a difference to us, ( forward or playmaker )

It’s looks each day as if we are being lined up to take a bite of the same sh it sandwhich that’s on our menu every window.

I think the last manager had a very good first summer window with the quick addition of Sinclair, Dembele and Toure (who didn't quite work out) , but you just have to look at the huge amount of surplus and unwanted players, currently on the books, to see we are pretty shoddy at recruiting real quality - apart from one or two and obviously the young guys we have brought through the ranks ourselves.

malky it opened on 11th June, sure the Sevvies have signed a couple already on top of the deals they did in January that became official in the summer. HH.

@malkybhoy as the so called "expert" (self appointed) you should already know window is OPEN it opened on 11th June
and I agree we always seem to come out of these windows WEAKER because of Lawwell.

Once a Bhoy, I’d agree with you regarding that window, but Dembele didn’t score in his first 12 games or so, in hindsight he turned out a great player.
I might be wrong but did Sinclair not sign in the later window, remember him scoring the winner against hearts but thought it was later in the year?
There is other teams in Europe signing players and for big fees as well, they aren’t using holidays as an excuse.

The Sinclair deal dragged on a bit I'm sure. He made his debut at tynecastle 2nd game of the season I think.
