Guys what I am worried about after the Turnbull debacle is this.
If we cannot even satisfy a 19 year old Scottish rookie player on salary, how the heck are going to get bigger players like the Toulouse centre half if Lawwell goes in with lowball offers.
I am seriously worried now about what calibre of player we will sign.

I think our wage structure has worked well in the past in attracting young guys like Edouarde, Dembele, Ajer, Shved, VVD, Wanyama etc etc and a young player of 19 has to fit into the wage scale or there would be a riot and other Celtic starlets would rebel/ leave.
I understand we have a a reputation for 'low-balling' terms etc, but these things are commonplace in negotiations and can be resolved.
What doesn't help are greedy agents preying on immature heads.

Tim, A 19 year old with one good season should be over the moon his current wage has been increased 10 fold. No one has a rite to demand game time at our Club. Stop giving the Board a hard time, I’m glad of the way they are going about our business. Stop worrying and enjoy the window. Hail Hail.

From what I gather Rogic, Cal Mac, Forrest, Tierney are all on around £20k per wee deals. They have all earned them whilst wearing the hoops.
Why on earth are fans slating Lawell here for not giving a 19 year old from Motherwell almost the same deal as key members of our 1st team squad?

Celtic are dead right to stand firm on this issues. How can a 19 yrs old who had a good season with Motherwell think that all of a sudden he should be paid 20k a week. What would he get if he had to stay with Motherwell? There are guys like ajer and Christie who reportedly are not on 20k a week and play regularly at Celtic. Both the player and agent need a kick up the ass.
