Apparently Rodgers is going to offer 15 million for rogic? We would be mad to turn that down.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we can get Nick Powell on a free then we should invite bids, starting at £20m. He's just signed a 5 year contract, capped 46 times by Australia and arguably his best days ahead of him barring injury. Imagine what clubs down there would be demanding for him. The days of clubs getting our players for pennies are over. Big fan of Rogic but i'd be happy with Powell and Christie battling it out for the No 10 role next season.

08 May 2019 08:32:02
Take the money I don't think it's true tho. he isn't quick enough or fit enough to play in there big league imo.

08 May 2019 08:36:15
Rogic can be a good player at times, but unfortunately he has more average games than good, there are times when he does not look interested, Celtic fans, must ask thems elves when was the last time Rogic had a good game, unfortunately for a young man he has a lot of inguries, so if a bid came in for £10 or £15 million, in my opinion l hope Celtic take it.

08 May 2019 08:37:40
SELL SELL SELL SELL.

08 May 2019 08:48:01
£10m? Really there is players in League 2 down there going for more. PL will ban you from CP for life with comments like that. Regardless of what you think about him as a player we should not be giving into the 1st bid purely because we want to sell him. Have we not learnt anything from selling too cheap.

08 May 2019 08:55:04
I personally wouldn’t be in a rush to get him out of the door, Christie done well in a few league games then seemed to drop off. I’m not saying Powell wouldn’t be a good signing but how many of you have realistically seen him play regularly, there might be a reason he’s playing where he is. Yes Rogic can look a little lazy but he’s one of our only players who can take the ball at difficult times and create something. Probably only calmac being the other. He does pick up injuries but we should be enhancing our team with better players not trying to sell our better ones if we want to keep improving.

08 May 2019 08:55:48
Rogic had a good game at the weekend Glen. He rarely gets credit on here even when he plays well.

08 May 2019 09:24:08
Obviously I'd try to squeeze a bit more out of any bidder but I'd be happy with 15m. Just don't give them a receipt.

08 May 2019 10:13:52
Rogic ain't half the player some Celtic fans make him out to be.
His position is one of the most creative in the team but he doesn't create much and hardly scores goals.
The odd worldy and he lives off it for months.

08 May 2019 10:21:56
If Rodgers really wants him id try my hand at a straight swap for benkovic.

08 May 2019 10:41:54
He's probably my favourite Celtic player to watch when he's on form but he just doesn't do it often enough. He's always struggled to break the cycle of injuries which then leads to inconsistency. I'd sell for around £10M.

08 May 2019 11:45:45
You could say that about Sinclair Kev. Plenty people on here rant about his stats yet does nothing for 85 mins of a game. That's fans for you though everyone sees a player/ game differently.

08 May 2019 12:19:19
Stan there is a major difference between rogic and Sinclair
Sinclair delivers rogic doesn't.
34 goal is 6 years against 60 in 3.
No contest.

08 May 2019 13:05:34
I'll be honest Kev i no longer rate him. Yes his stats show that but very rarely he is a stand out or a constant threat in a game, many games annonymous. It's only really on here i see how much he is championed i don't hear the same at games or within my group of mates. Not to say i don't like him i would love to see the Scott Sinclair of 3 years ago but it ain't happening. I'd rather see Johnston playing. On his day Sinclair is incredible, sadly on his day was a long time ago and it is rarely seen. It's a funny old game.

08 May 2019 13:10:40
Pedro should ask for £30 Million then we’d see if Leicester are willing to just cave in the way that BR wanted us to when Hibs asked for £5 million for McGinn.

08 May 2019 13:46:25
How about Benkovic, £8m and an apology 😂.

08 May 2019 14:08:08
Stan your on here saying you don't rate Sinclair while bigging up a player that doesn't bring anywhere near as much as him. 😂😂.

08 May 2019 14:18:49
I would take less as long as we don't do business with Leicester City.

That rat Brendan Fraudgers was more than happy to leave us with no backroom whatsoever, now he thinks he can come back and cherry pick whatever players he wants? No chance!

Rogic best attribute is goals he can score but injury has hindered him this season. He is good when he has fast players around him, might be a case he needs a run of games to get upto scratch but the amount of injuries he sustains makes this hard.

Whilst we are on subject of Leicester, I personally don't think we will miss benkovic. He has been injured a lot too.

08 May 2019 16:07:31
100% correct Kev i rate Rogic more than i do Sinclair. Anywho it matters not he's away to Leeds for £3m after the Cup Final 😉.

08 May 2019 16:33:05
Stan can I Ask?
Who would you win more games with a guy that score double figures every season or a guy that is lucky to score 8?

This season it's not even just players like Sinclair that's putting rogic to shame. It's we bhoys like Weah and Johnstone.

In the league rogic has played more than double the game time they have

Rogic 1280 minutes
Johnston 524 minutes
Weah 432 minutes

All of them 3 goals. Though rogic does have more assist his extra 756 minutes on the field.

08 May 2019 17:09:27
Kev your stats for goals and assists are great but what about tackles made, passes made, shots on goal, area of pitch covered etc etc. It's difficult to compare 2 players who have a completely different role/ position in the team. Not sure how Weah or Johnston have shamed Rogic as neither play the No 10 role either. I'm never going to change my opinion when it comes to Rogic and Sinclair, and you won't either. Maybe neither will have a place in our new look midfield come July. Let's be honest would either of us complain if both left and we banked £20m, no chance.

08 May 2019 17:46:14
Stan Sinclair has contributed 17 goals in all competitions this season even as a bit part player. How can you slate that?

The criticism he gets is nonsense, even in a bad season he still out performs players allegedly playing better than him. Stats don't lie.

08 May 2019 18:04:11
I’d be disappointed to lose either of them. One of our strengths recently has been our ability to hold onto our double treble winning players. We’ve lost the odd one like Dembele and Armstrong but for the most part, we’ve kept a winning team together. If we lost those two, how much would it cost us to replace them? I don’t think £20M would go that far and there would be no guarantee that the new guys would fit in. Be careful what you wish for.

08 May 2019 18:43:21
I love Rogic I'd have him and McCourt in my dream team every week and I don't care who mocks me 😂😂.

08 May 2019 18:53:43
Phil when i watch games i judge players on their overall performance. That's why i don't do cartwheels over his 17 goals. Each to their own though i'm sure there is players in the squad you prefer over others. I prefer Johnston over Sinclair, as do many others. It's the same as most people in this post slating Tom Rogic that's their opinion and it's different to mine. Which i'm quite content with.

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't sell Rogic unless it was for crazy money - and £15 million for him is imo - but I certainly wouldn't have him as a regular starter. Never mind goals and assists he's in one of the most important positions and should be pulling the strings when we are in the final third and he simply doesn't do that - he's turning into another Commons with his beat a man and just shoot from anywhere tactic. Rogic's got a great touch and control etc but he isn't an intelligent player like McGregor when it comes to his use of the ball.}

08 May 2019 19:56:44
Like Sinclair it wouldn't bother me if he was sold Ed, as long as we get decent coin for him. Everyone can be replaced as history has shown many a time. Are we any further forward with Powell or is it now a case of him picking his club, whenever that will be.

{Ed007's Note - It seems like it and from what I've heard it's a choice between Celtic, a Pub League relegation battle with Norwich or another year at least in The Championship at Wigan who are still trying to extend his deal or someone else in the same league.}

08 May 2019 20:28:31
Cheers Ed, quite optimistic of getting the lad then. Fingers crossed.

{Ed007's Note - I think we'll struggle if an established Pub League come in for him. Obviously none of the top teams would be an option but maybe a Newcastle, Southampton or Leicester (Rodgers will be well aware of our scouting of Powell) level could be more attractive. At 25 I think he should be looking at where he wants to be in 2/3 years, a couple of years up here winning trophies and playing in Europe could do his prospects in England a world of good, - they certainly wouldn't harm them, a Southampton or Burnley would always be interested at the right price.
I do worry that Rodgers not being here might be a factor unless we appoint another name that can swing the deal but to the same extent Neil Lennon has known Powell since he was a kid at Crewe and persistently tried to sign him during his first spell as manager.
Ed001 is a geek when it comes to young players and has been for years plus he knows plenty of people at Crewe and Powell is one of the best players ever to come through their academy, if the right manager could get the best out of him he would be a fantastic player.}

08 May 2019 21:36:45
Great insight Ed, thanks for that. I hope we get this one over the line.

{Ed007's Note - Me too mate, it's definitely a position I think we need to strengthen as much as we do CB & RB imo. We need a spark up front, a Naka or Lubo type that can make things happen for themselves and others in that final third.}

09 May 2019 21:44:29
The reports about Rogic are the works of the mischievous MSSM who are trying to upset Celtic fans, that want to be upset, in the week leading up to the game against Rangers2012.
