Evening all,
Can't wait till Tuesdays game against PSG. Let's make Paradise a cauldron of noise. Yes they have world class players but we have WORLD CLASS FANS.
We have in the past drove our Team to famous victories. You never know Tuesday could be another that goes down in history.
LET THE PEOPLE SING.

They are not a great team, they are a collection of expensive signings, if we stand around and go ooh, aah cantona, and ask for thier autographs before making a tackle, it will be Barcelona all over again,

I genuinely think that if we take the game to PSG, like we did against Man City, we can get something from the game. Our strength is the same as theirs - going forward. Maybe it's just me but whenever I've seen them they look a bit soft. Mentally they're dodgy too as the meltdown at the Nou Camp last year showed. Here's hoping. Oh and big Gordon better turn up.

Think we'd have a better chance if big Gordon didn't turn up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Viking we had a biggest ever defeat meltdown in the nou camp . against city we couldn't hold a lead . (they had over twice the attempts at goal than us .3times the amount on target than us and double the possession ) . yes we done well to get a draw and will do very well to get another draw on Tues . this is an excellent team we are going to face on Tues not a sevco or st Johnstone . can we go toe to toe with them? . could we regret doing it. yes . on Tues and tbe upcoming games we will see how much we've matured / learned to play european football under br . will it surprise me if we win . no . but we will have to be at our collective best to get anything out of this game.

Just booked to go over to Paris for the PSG game can anyone tell me the best place to go before and after the game that Celtic supports will be at?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

09 Sep 2017 18:09:01
You can try the Harp Bar beside the Moulin Rouge.

118 Boulevard de Clichy, 75018 Paris, France

Not been in it for a while but used to go there to watch all the games when I was working there.

last visit, Before the game Eiffel Tower area was the meeting place for bhoys, and ST pauli fans.

Travelled by bus with East Kilbride athenrye.40 year old, and oldest guy on the bus by 20 years.
Two hours into the journey, and the bus conveyner on bus mike saying there's been an abuse of the buckfast system, as there people asking for a new bottle without bringing an empty.
The look on the hotel managers face, with about 50 of us in the foyer
being told they had booked only 8 rooms. memories!

Ex-Cliftonville goalkeeper Conor Hazard 19 has signed a four-deal deal with Celtic.
Looks like a promising prospect.
Best of luck to him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Conor Hazard has been with Celtic since 2014, it's a contract extension he's signed mate.}

09 Sep 2017 15:08:53
Yeah I read about that too, other than that I knew nothing about him.
He must have good potential for a four year deal in fairness.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think he might get a chance in one of the cup games this season. He's highly rated at the Club and the fact we allowed Leo Fasan to leave shows the confidence in young Hazard.}

09 Sep 2017 15:48:59
Throw him in against PSG.

Agree2 Disagree1

09 Sep 2017 17:00:49
He could do a David Marshall against Barcelona.

11 Sep 2017 14:13:37
We need a keeper. My fear is if he was good enough he would be in. If he can't get in before Gordon, how good can he be? Age shouldn't be a barrier. We played a 19 year old on Friday.

Over the last 20 years our highly rated youngsters have failed to make it as shoe ins. We get more young players from other teams than we produce who stay in the team overvthecsame 20 year period before they head off for Dundee.

Give him a league game and jets see if he has what it takes. Gordon's a liability, and if Rogers can't see that then we are in for continuous Groundhog Day balls ups.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 13:42:52
Just seen the PSG highlights and they look dodgy at the back. Metz should've went 2-1 up after their keeper done a Gordon. The straight red card was very harsh as Assou Ekotto looked to have got a touch on the ball. A few of their goals was fortunate too against 10 men. If we cut out the mistakes and don't get any controversial decisions then we could get a result against these.

09 Sep 2017 14:11:01
I'm going for 3-2 Celtic on Tuesday.

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Sep 2017 15:08:59
We are shaky at the back too so maybe 6-5 Celtic?

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 15:13:47
I know nothing about PSG so can't comment on our chances. But our best form of defence is attack without being cavalier. We're better going forward than at the back and when we took the game to Man City they didn't enjoy it especially in the cauldron that will be Celtic Park on the night. ☘️.

Agree1 Disagree1

09 Sep 2017 18:11:01
If we get an early goal and the fans on our side we have a chance but I suspect it will be a very tough night for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 21:11:12
I'm personally not holding out much hope for psg, just as long as we don't embarrass ourselfs but I strongly fancy fancy us to get something in Brussels I think Brendan has us set up as a good European side away from home hh.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 23:31:28
We are a far better team than Metz and the atmosphere always gives us an upper hand. Any result would be good as I can't see Anderlecht getting anything from them.

See celtic have issued a strongly worded statement regarding the cowards at the sfa's refusal to a review.

Agree3 Disagree2

09 Sep 2017 15:47:57
And released the letters they have been sending SFA.

Agree1 Disagree2

09 Sep 2017 16:59:49
Read the letters on part and forgive my ignorance but where are Peter Lowell and Celtic going with this? What is their objective? ☘️.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 18:15:29
Apparently the SFA released the first letter as they are trying to make this issue look like a Celtic v Rangers scenario. They are trying to suggest that no one wants this revisited apart from Celtic fans because of our rivalry.

Celtic released the rest of the letters to put things into context. I just hope that this move by the SFA has angered Lawwell and Celtic and we go to town with this corrupt lot at the SFA, just like McCann and Kelly did in years gone by.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 18:59:44
I really hope this goes to 'infinity and beyond' and exposes all the lying, cheating, scoundrels that have corruptly run our national game for over a century.
Trying to put the focus and 'blame' on Celtic may have worked in years gone by when we were weak/ toothless; however, as the most dominant force in the country by several 'light years' - with more power than ever before, we should have no hesitation in calling their bluff.
Celtic, alone have raised the profile of our game in Europe and gained coefficient and cash for all the rest and it's about time some of the rest, stood up to be counted against corruption, conspiracies and cover-ups.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 19:22:32
Guys, as I said forgive my ignorance but what is Celtic's objective? What is it that PL is trying to achieve? Was the SFA refusing the Judicial Review the catalyst for Celtic's action and what is it that we want proved by the review? ☘️.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 20:00:04
Going by the letters Celtic released, between Lawwell and Regan it looks Celtic were not happy with the original EBT investigation and now that the court case has concluded they want the SFA system reviewed.

It would appear that the catylst for our current actions were when the SFA published one of the letters between Regan and Lawwell. I am sure Celtic would have prefered dealing with this behind closed doors but the SFA have; rather foolishly in my opinion, put it in the public domain.

In relation to what we want proved in the review, it would appear that Celtic want better transparency in future, people held accountable for their actions/ inactions and better leadership in the governing body moving forward.

To my knowledge, we are not calling for title stripping at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 20:41:41
It's so bloody obvious people in the SFA want this to go away. If they had nothing to hide, why not clear the air. They are bricking it coz they know the noose is swinging. This needs to go external and I would gladly pay towards i
In the meantime a boycott of all things SFA related would not only take cash off them but shine a floodlight on the cockroaches.

09 Sep 2017 22:16:40
@ jfp

I believe that lawwell's aim is not directly at rangers but another kick in the sack is a brucie bonus for us fans.
I think that his main objective is to oust the wrong doing within the sfa, after a few pints I set my mind on why they would decline invitation to participate in an investigation and what I've come to believe is that if they do participate then inevitably they will soon be holding an internal investigation as they know that their hands are dirty in this affair, don't exactly know the ins and outs of things at the sfa but who ever is / was in charge of player registrations has to have seen at least some trace of wrong doing which was swept under the carpet.
If this was everyone's opinion previous to this post then my apologies, sometimes I don't think about things properly haha beer helps.

The Aberdeen supporters trust have write to regan asking for a review so the ball is rolling.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 11:32:09
Well done to the Aberdeen Trust who have told Stewart Regen they will not move on and 44% of their members are prepared to help fund the costs of a Judical Review. Showing backbone unlike that spineless Stewart Milne. Hopefully the same will now come from other clubs not just in the SPL but all of Scottish football. Why would any Club, Chairman, Player, Supporter want to be under an Association that lies and is prepared to brush their own misconduct and the dead clubs cheating under the carpet. More Jelly and Ice Cream on the way GIRFUY zombies.

Good Morning

Lovely game last night except for the lated goal against, I know Gordon got critised for coming off his line but what other choice did he have.
Bitton lost his man he was not even in the same county. Gogic had the freedom of the park to pick his spot.
I think BR has madean error in not bringing in a CB Kelvin Wilson or Chico Flores on a short term contract or a youngster on loan if the player he wanted was not available.
We have a team that could score against anyone but cannot defend against a pub team

Believable2 Unbelievable1

09 Sep 2017 13:07:32
We really missed the bus on the centre half situation during the last window and although we can deal with shuffling the pack domestically - we could have done with a decent partner for Simunovic until Boyata gets match fit.
Unfortunately I feel much the same about the goalkeeper and although he may get the benefit of the doubt at times, he is still extremely casual, careless and is prone to far too many rushes of blood and a severe near-post weakness.
Fortunately we have some very talented and gifted players in other positions that help compensate for this.

Why doesn't he play Ajer? Does he just not rate him? Seems the obvious choice with the injuries we have.

Ed do you see brown giving up the captaincy next season? Personally I think it might be time. Only reason I have for this is I think he might become more of a squad player next year with koussi possibly
Pushing in there unless Rodgers fancies Armstrong and ntcham in there which I can't see because you've got a deep lying play maker in ntcham and a box to box in Armstrong. You never know though.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Brown won't give up the captaincy until he retires. Even as the years go on and he plays less and less matches he'll still be the Club captain and will captain the team when he does play.}

09 Sep 2017 11:58:50
More chance me getting hitched to Emily Blunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 12:25:42
I think Broonie will Captain us to 10 in a row irrespective of how frequently he does or doesn't play then retire I also have a feeling at that stage Rodgers will seek pastures new but will be here until he hits the magic 10 that will write him into the Celtic history book. ☘️.

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 13:00:22
Top rig there's no chance brown will be a squad player next season! I've gave brown stick in the past but I wrote on here a couple of weeks ago that I had to eat some humble pie about him! He's never looked fitter or played better mate, his games went up a couple of levels since Brendan came in! He'll be our captain for a few more years yet buddy. and IMO Armstrong won't be here next season so we won't have to wonder where he'll play!

09 Sep 2017 13:15:37
I have noticed a wee dip in his form this season ( so far) and he has made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes.
Personally, I was disappointed when he returned to international duty and felt that this would detract from his club performances and reduce his influence and the qualities he brings as captain of Celtic.

Scott Sinclair is quite simply magnificent. Would not be surprised if he scored 30+ goals in the League alone this season. Jozo looked class last night and excellent performances by Paddy and Edourd on the debuts. Armstrong looking like his old self the Scotland games have done him the world of good.

09 Sep 2017 00:53:48
What Scott Brown done tonight was quite probably, in fact almost entirely possibly, one of the worst things I think I have ever seen a human being do.

To suggest in a post match interview that pre season training with Sheikh City was akin to a holiday for wee Patrick Roberts.

I will not set foot in Paradise until I see him stripped of the captaincy and forced to apologise in an interview with Hoopy (peace be upon him)

Very good performance tonight and on to Tuesday.
I'd go with the following team

Gordon
Lustig simunovic. Ajer. Tierney
Brown ntcham
Roberts rogic Sinclair
Griffiths (if fully fit)

A lot has been made of our CB problems and its obvious we missed the boat in the transfer window.
But why not give Ajer a run of games. He has to be better than Biton and has looked very good when he has played. Obviously a huge step up on Tuesday but he's the same age as mbappe so why not.

Swap Lustig with Ajer and bring Ralston in at RB.

Agree with all apart from Rogic I would start with Armstrong in there for steel and bring Rogic on for Ntcham for maximum Auzzi effect.

If there's a way to play brown ntcham and Armstrong that would do me plenty if steel and energy.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2017 12:11:32
MOH gave Ralston a torrid time. He isn't good enough, hopes that his is another KT are futile. He isn't. Too risky playing him for me. The whole situation we are even considering him or Ajer is an indictment of how we arsed up in the transfer window in relation to defence.

Delighted with all the others apart from Hayes, who on current form wouldn't get a game doon the school. Β£1.3m down the drain.

My team would be

Doris
Lustig, Ajer Simo KT
Armstrong, brown, Rogic Sinclair
Roberts Griff

However, Ntcham will play and terrifyingly Ralston probably will too.
