Having watched him a lot recently can anyone say what does John Kennedy provide exactly? you never see him on touchline with Brendan he just sits in dugout with arms folded. In my opinion he is there as a sympathy vote due to him retiring early I hope I'm wrong but he seems to offer bugger all. Brendan never talks to him during matches wonder if Celtic insisted he has a job there if that's case he offers nowt.

That's harsh Mick he's the defensive coach he shouldn't be on the touchline do you see Chris Davies out there av not so come on.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Kennedy isn't the defensive coach, he's a first team coach that carries out the duties and drills etc Rodgers sets him to all first team players.
Where's Danny McGrain during matches, why is he just a coach and not a defensive coach?}

10 Oct 2018 01:41:38
Crisis crisis goalkeeping coach doesn't talk to BR either during games. On another note Charlie Nickerless is a complete and utter cheese covered bell (end) :of story! #wouldstickitinaspicyparathaifskytoldhimtoo. #pretendyouratim #lackingmoralfibre. Off to bed too much red wine but proud of my spelling. Oh and Kris boyds a Billy bunter. Hail hail hail hail hail again.

What a load of nonsense. If you watch any football at all you very rarely see coaches out on touchline with a manager.
If you watch Celtic at all you see Rogers Davies and Kennedy in conversation during games all the time.

A knew he was a coach ed point is there's not many clubs where out with the manager and maybe the assistant manager that other coaches are out barking orders it would be carnage.

{Ed007's Note - I'd agree with that..}

As the dreaded intl break is upon us, how would everyone feel if there was to be a 3rd Euro competition for clubs?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Oct 2018 23:47:27
I would prefer that to international games. On the whole they're very disappointing.

No need, in my opinion, double the amount of teams in the Champions league, making sure Champions from at at least the top 20 countries are involved, fill the rest with 2nd and 3rd teams. Then use the Europa league for cup winners and 4th and 5th placed teams. Problem solved, even more money. šŸ‘.

10 Oct 2018 07:14:30
He but most that even more money would go to the so called big teams anyway bhampot.
Money aside there's nothing in CL for clubs like us ajax ect ect.
3rd competition gives the likes of us chance to win a trophy. That means more to me than money.

Looking for a wee bit of advice here, I'm on holiday next week and I'm thinking about taking my daughter over to Lennoxtown to see some of the players as they come out from training. Does anyone know the best time to go and is there a particular place you should wait to see them?

Sorry mate I've no idea but someone on here will. Hope she gets to meet the bhoys.

Cheers Steph, sheā€™s already met a Lisbon Lion. French Eddyā€™s her favourite player so hopefully sheā€™ll get to meet him.

The car park at the bottom of the entrance is where to stand. As for time it varies depending on games ect. International duties and it's a lottery.

09 Oct 2018 22:48:49
So is there only one way in and out? I suppose half of them wonā€™t be there next week anyway. Oh well, at least we might get to see Griff.

10 Oct 2018 06:54:23
Yes mate if you want to see the players about 12:30-1:30 is best time itā€™s a wee bit of a walk from nearest bus stop but itā€™s worth it once they come down the hill from training ground they can only turn right and they are more than happy to stop and sign autographs people stand as close to the security gates as possible and Iv never seen any issues. Best of luck!

Good on Griffiths for concentrating on his fitness for our club. Mcleish blabbing to his pet poodles in the media he wouldn't take my call. Now we have a daily rag wanting him disciplined for liking a tweet! Countless times in the past we had Rfc players unfit to play yet would play against celtic a few days later and no outcry. If he starts with Forrest on the bench I hope he tells him he's done with them. In an ideal world I wouldn't want any of our players playing for Scotland. A rancid corrupt SFA managed by a rancid corrupt tax dodger who chucked the job the first time around. Gordon benched for McGregor who has a lifetime ban yet welcomed with open arms by mcleish.

It's any excuse with the sceptic Sevco media to badmouth everything Celtic, while staying in total denial about TRIFC2012 and their never ending plight - and desperation to cling onto our coat-tails.
I would not begrudge any Celtic player representing their country; but would be delighted if the Scots all chose to concentrate on their fitness and wage-paying, club priority - or find a non-Scottish, immediate relative and choose that country, rather than one that shows continued biased and contempt against us.

Ooooft. Just heard Alan McGregor on snyde. He sounds like a wee Ned mumbling pish. Its the first I've ever heard him talk no wonder he used sign language with Ferguson.

Despite my Irish heritage, Iā€™m a full blown Scotland fan and I always want our players to play and for the team to do well. However, Iā€™m delighted that Griff has told EBT Eck to GTF at the earliest opportunity. He knows Griff is far, far superior to Naismith and if he wants to mess him about, he has to realise that thereā€™s consequences.

I wish every Celtic player would tell Scotland where to go.
How can any player want to play for a manager who cheated the club they play for and an association who continue to turn a blind eye to it.
Until there is a complete overhaul at the SFA, our players should take nothing to do with this corrupt rabble.

What's your take on Rogic?
Hardly kicked a ball all season, then pulls the strings yesterday.

Special mention for Forrest, sublime running - well played.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Sorry it took so long to answer you mate, I had picked up a virus/malware bug on something and couldn't get on to edit the sites yesterday. I thought both Rogic and Forrest were immense on Sunday but we should be getting off them week in and week out. Rogic especially has been poor so far this season (probably this year in fact) and him playing while being off form has been a massive factor in the lack of goals, creativity and flair in the final third, if he can keep playing the way we seen on Sunday we should see a massive improvement in that department.
Forrest is another player that needs to find consistency in his game, you certainly can't fault his effort on the field but he needs to be consistently more productive. His first goal on Sunday was only his 6th league goal of 2018, that's a pretty poor return for a winger at Celtic when you consider the amount of possession we get and how we dominate games for long spells.
Both Rogic, Forrest and Sinclair poor form has been why we've struggled to break down teams since the turn of the year. I've been saying for ages that the problems in the AM positions was worrying me more than the defensive problems were
So here's hoping that Sunday's performance has been a shot in the arm to the team and a sign of things to come, that first half performance was one of the best we've seen under Rodgers imo.}

I agree about JF and he should realize by now how good he can be?
He scored a great hat-trick against Thistle in a cup game a while back and has scored a good few CL goals, so it was no fluke.
Rogic may have had the old 'WC hangover' and like Lustig (who was also brilliant on Sunday) needed time to get back to form.
Whatever the case, it really is a real pity this International Break is here again to hamper the momentum.
PS: well done Griff concentrating on 'your fitness' need more players to put club before a country who's Association has a negative agenda.

For me Rogic has been playing like commons lately having scored a few belters it went to his head and was trying to score any time he gets near the box so it was refreshing to see him make the killer passes rather going for goal himself who knows maybe someone had a word with him about it and he got back to being the creator.

Rogic and Forrest should both be well into double figures for goals and at least 20 assists a season with how much attacking we do.

It was Gordon strachan who said in a team you can carry 2-3 players that are not firing on all cylinders any more than that itā€™s useless and that's what it feels like to me, weā€™re carrying to many players that are off the boil especially Rogic and Forrest hopefully against stjohnston was a change in the right direction as the way the two linked up was unbelievable, Rogics touch, weight of pass and vision are unplayable if heā€™s on fire šŸ”„.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 19:47:58
Cheers ed,

I agree regarding that attacking front three
They are unplayable at times, but consistency has been the issue - especially with Forrest and Rogic

Celticā€™s defence is not that big a problem for me if our no.10 is receiving the ball and picking a forward pass. The classic BR ā€˜high pressā€™ is the key. When We sit deep and play side to side we never get our strikers into play often enough. I reckon French ed is better taking the ball
On the move from just outside the box, I would like to see a peneltybbox optio brought it and a genuine starter for the no.10 role

Fingers crossed.

{Ed007's Note - That's probably why Rodgers wants Nick Powell.}

10 Oct 2018 21:26:28
Is there any chance of that?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yes there's a chance but it'll probably depend on the level/quality of Pub League interest.}

{Ed007's Note - No probs.}

I see all the hulabalu about Griffiths pulling out of the scotland squad. However i have some sympathy for him he would not have started against Isreal and then would play against Portugal another top ten team.
Alright now he isn't there let's see how Naismith plays against Portugal and will the management rip into him at half time for Scotlands defeat like they did to Giff
I will bet who will play better the following weekend for there club.

I don't blame the wee man, hung out to dry against the 2nd best team in the world loan striker no possession, dropped for the mighty Albania, the rat gets a all the praise i could have scored against them; and then ebt eck giving it that naismith will start next game oh and instead of keeping in house that griff didn't answer his phone he runs and tells the media, classy, why would griff travel all the way to Israel to be second string to u know who hope he raps it for good and Scotland get pumped.
