Been very quiet on the horror tackle on frimpong when fatso got caught by the utd player which wasn t that bad slippy was howling at the moon and the media lapped it up strange.

Howling at the moon seems to work for them.
Their letter of complaint about Collum and they never seen him for 6 months.
And now they haven’t seen Clancy for 2 months and counting.

It was a shocker Mally and when Andy Walker says it's a Red card, it must be bad!

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Nov 2020 16:52:48
It was a straight red.

09 Nov 2020 20:45:32
Yes it was a straight red, does anyone think that tony watts kick at brown warranted a red as well, like the one on frimpong Andy Walker thought it was .

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Nov 2020 21:42:08
Both were automatic red cards, but it highlights yet again what we are up against week after week. Referees turning blind-eyes to dangerous tackles and off-the-ball assaults like El Buffalo does every game are as certain as Sevco getting weekly penalty kicks.

Compare that to Slippy getting a phone call of an apology from Beaton. If Beaton was a regular in a Celtic supporters Club how many Ran2era games do you reckon he would officiate a season? If Madhun was an ex Celtic season ticket holder how many would be get? I would guess not many!

I hope Frimpong’s injury was not made worse by playing on.
If Frimpong misses games due to his injury,
It could give a chance to Elhamed who still hasn’t suffered a domestic defeat in a Celtic jersey.

I see several EPL managers going raj-bongo about having early KO's after European Ties on Wed/ Thu.
Claiming it can even cause injury due to insufficient rest/ recovery and querying the need for mid-day KO's especially for away teams.

We have had this problem for as long as I can remember and there was even a 'Euro- Hangover' theory bandied about through the media when we dropped points/ struggled in games after Europe under MON, WGS and the previous manager.
Through all this Celtic - as far a s I know - have never complained made excuses, or questioned the SPL or TV companies?
We have all noticed a lull in energy and performance after the hour mark in quite a few matches. God knows I've moaned about making substitutions in most games when we have lost momentum and between European games and International matches this could be a factor?

Dont think we can blame europe celtic mad don't see Sevco having any problems just now.

Think we done enough yesterday so that it wasnt an issue.

Can i just say i hope all international teams taking better precautions than the last time. I don't think we should be sending Eddy to France u21's again he is still recovering from last time. HH.

Celtic Mad
I can remember 2 days before our first league game back at the new Celtic Park in 1995,
We beat Dinamo Batumi in Georgia on the Thursday and then we came back to draw 1-1 with Motherwell on the Saturday.
Celtic were on fire in the first half with Phil O’ Donnell scoring against his old club but we were hanging on in the second half and Dougie Arnott scored their equaliser with 20 minutes to go.
I’m sure the team also had problems getting home and they had to give the Georgian security staff money before they would allow them to travel back to Glasgow.

theres no doubt it has a factor and the players tire, its ok some fans we shouldn't tire and so on but the its evident that we do we see it.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Nov 2020 19:19:58
Wouldn't compare us directly to Sevco as before yesterday they had scored only one goal more than us; having played two games more.
Plus they have had nothing like the problems we have with CV - never mind unsettled players etc etc. Hamilton at home was a walkover.

aye right enough,
I can see how having to apply yourself for 90 odd minutes (with a wee break in between) with 10+ other players sharing the load can be really strength sapping and tire you out!
I mean having to pass that ball 20 odd time, hase another guy to try and get the ball back then stop because one of your team meates has taken over. Then there is the standing waiting in position for a pass.
Gie me a break - Highly paid, well looked after, and their only job!

Poor wee souls. Say it often enough and they, and the fans believe it.

If we can get to Jan relatively unscathed we realky should be adding an exosive wide man who can create and cross the ball and decent rb and if and it is a big if we might just be ok.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2020 16:24:22
Would Forrest not come back into the side for you then? We don't play with wide players really apart from the wingbacks.

In terms of RB's does that mean we move on either el hamed or Frimpong as we won't spend money on a third choice right back.

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Nov 2020 17:51:23
not a dig at you DK but it does my head in when fans say we don't play with wingers just because at one point our preferred system was 3/ 5/ 2 doesn't mean we shouldn't have wingers in our squad and apart from forrest we haven't it was a terrible mistake not to get a winger who can go by a man in in the summer i said it during the full window it baffles me.

Look back at this seasons games and many of the goals came from cut-backs or crosses. It's when we try to play through teams we toil.

There are a number of supporters who are behaving like an ostrich with their head in the sand.
Whilst we are showing a lot of weaknesses our main oppenents are playing with flair, style and a smile on their faces something we would be delighted with.
We need a right back, a left sided centre back{ something we have required since Van dyke left} wingers for both sides { again something we have needed since NL decided to release the backups we had when he arrived]
We have changed our signing policy under NL from buying youth and develop them for resale too one of trying to fit in older supposedly expericed ones.
Get you heads out of the sand and smell the reallity.

The reality is we're are you getting 4 players from in November?

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Nov 2020 12:16:08
Until January we are stuck with what we have and even now we have Frimpong and Forrest unavailable for some time.
Mikey Johnston may be available soon? However it's not just a lack of really good wide men that's a problem - our delivery from crosses free kicks and corners is well below par with Griff, El Hamed and maybe McGregor the few with consistently good delivery?
However, El Hamed and Griff rarely even start a match leaving Christie - who needs his own ball at times - overhitting cross after cross or shooting on sight (like Commons used to do) .
Yesterday started with a much better tempo and variety of play and we created more chances - scoring four; so it's an improvement.
Last Transfer Window seems to have caused more problems than it solved, leaving us with unsettled, huffy players and failing to address vitally lacking positions with permanent class signings. None of that was the manager's fault and although I have had my say on his managerial flaws, he is being hampered, hindered and hung out to dry from within; both from above and below and that's unacceptable at any time - but in this season of all seasons!

Personally I would leave the malcontents in the stand or training with the youngsters, but injury and CV decimated the squad.
This International Break brings more worries and concerns and I wish we didn't have to risk players after so many issues last time; but they go to their 'Country Bubble' and all we can do is wait and hope, then assess the squad and carry on until January.
At the moment all we can do is improve, while Sevco have already hit their peak; First, forget The EL and concentrate on domestic dominance as we have done since the birth of TRIFC 2012.

Jonace apparently Simunovic left because he can't play in the cold. I know it sounds daft but cold agitates a problem he has. Should of kept Hayes though.

I reckon we will sign a left sided CB in January, whether its too late is the question.

I would happily let eddy leave in January if we got someone else in. Really think we missed a bargain in Lyndon Dykes.

It’s been frustrating watching Celtic this season because I think we’ve got a better squad than we had this time last year.
It’s exactly a year since we won in Rome and only Forster and Hayes are missing from the starting lineup.
Also Bauer came on in the last minute just in time for the winner.
There’s no doubt Forster is a massive loss but I think Frimpong and Laxalt are an upgrade on Bauer and Hayes.
We’ve also got guys like Rogic Griffiths and Ajeti who never played in Rome.
I don’t understand why it’s went downhill when we’ve added to practically the same squad.
Having a better squad shouldn’t be a disadvantage.
We’ve tried to keep continuity similar to our rivals on the Southside but presently they seem to be the only club benefiting.

Forster was never going to stay as he's in it for the money. he's happy to sit in the stand every week picking up about 70k.

Oldkilly I'm basing my opinion on fact he caused us and other teams in league enough problems over the years, doing well at QPR in championship and doing well for Scotland. I don't know what anyone else would want in a striker.

Also he is very good at holding ball up and the goals would come in barrel loads from Ajeti and Griffiths.

Edouard does not look interested at all, can't remember last time he scored and to be honest starting Griffiths would be a far better option.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2020 14:30:24
philtim88 Dykes has scored 3 goals for QPR this season all penalties he scored 11 for Livingston of which 2 were penalties hardly prolific for a striker, but you are entitled to your opinion just like everyone on this site.

We should've kept Hayes. If nothing else his face might've kept the C.V. at bay. We're going to come through this and we'll be champions again.

If you are a Punter, DO NOT get married

Over the weekend I had a profitable time with my football bets (mainly penalties) and also my American election bet.
I watch CNN and they were predicting a Biden win but to lose Florida, I looked up odds on Biden and it was only 4/ 7 but add in the Florida bet and it went up to 5/ 2 so when Sly paid out Sunday I was a happy Tim.
UNTIL Mrs T burst my bubble by "claiming" the profits for the family Christmas fund, she had said days earlier she wanted to make this year "extra special for the girls" which I did not mind, EXCEPT this poor Tim is apparently PAYING for it all groan.
Mrs T graciously allowed me to keep my initial outlay but ALL profits went to her fund.
Anybody know a CHEAP divorce lawyer please.

Tim I have a deal with my wife that if I win over 100 sheets then we go out for dinner. Only ever happens a few times a season so isn't too bad and it's a free night out usually. U got to make a deal with the Mrs that u keep at least 20% as your bonus fund 🤣🤣.
