Listening to Radio Snyde tonight (Why? I'll tell ye why. It's the only one left apart fae ). Anyways, it's the FIRST TIME EVER I have heard Keevins and the rest of them admit that Celtic might go to England. After being CONSTANTLY told over the years that this would NEVER happen.....wee Shug now says that "Nothing is forever"! That pain Gordon DL ALSO admitted that the Kilmarnock gaffer said "Celtic are too big for Scottish football" S*Y will decide if and when it happens, not the SFA, UEFA or FIFA! Demand will dictate! HH! God bless. Your thoughts ED? {Ed007's Note - It will never happen. So S*y now control world football because they have the rights to the EPL, that's just complete nonsense.}

It will never happen. And I for one don't want it to. I don't want to cart my backside up and down England. We're a Scottish team. We play in SCOTLAND

Agree8 Disagree3

It will never happen mate, we need to start dedicating our time and thoughts to rebuilding our game. The sooner Rangers get there act together the better. The game needs a strong old firm, end of. I dont want them back before they have climbed the leagues fairly and squarely but the sooner the 3 years are up the better for scottish football. And i was at the game on wednesday lads, just incase you question my allegiances.

Agree4 Disagree4

How do you ed know it will never happen? {Ed007's Note - Well one main problem is that under current FIFA statutes teams must play in the league where they are geographically based. What's to stop Real Madrid and Barca joining the EPL, or Ajax joining the Serie A?}

Agree2 Disagree0

Your spot on ed...... That's why a lot of clubs are looking at an Atlantic league

Hail hail

Agree1 Disagree1

The United Kingdom really is a special case, we already are one nation until very recently with one government. One currency, one monetary system, same political parties.
Northern Ireland and Wales have never in their histories been sovereign countries. They are principalities.
Celtic playing the EPL teams week in week out is the future.
The alternative is Celtic TV and fans money going to other SPL teams. That's what they are calling for redistribution of income. They overspend and want more from the Celtic generated pot.

poster no 2 there is no old firm its only us and some mob called sevco who are barely 8/9 months old that used too make up part of the old firm

Agree4 Disagree0

Strictly speaking Northern Ireland is not part of the UK. Great Britain is made up of the United Kingdom AND Northern Ireland..if you check something as simple as your passport you'll find confirmation of this.

Where FIFA & UEFA are concerned we are in our home nations and we belong in the Country that is Scotland. Mrs E {Ed001's Note - actually you are incorrect, you have that the wrong way round. UK includes Northern Ireland, Great Britain is just the biggest of the British Isles, ie England, Scotland and Wales.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You are indeed right Ed001..I did have it the wrong way around but still I would say for footballing purposes, we are in our home nations Mrs E {Ed001's Note - I wasn't disagreeing with your overall point, just wanted to cut off all the posts pointing out your error before they started!}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED what about Auckland of New-zeland moving to the Australian A-League a few years back and talks progressing for a Balkan League for 2015? I know the EPL is highly unlikely but surely the Auckland example is an indicator that the EPL isnt a mere pipe dream, while the Balkan League leads to a decent possibility of setting up a league with the biggerclubs of Scandanavia, Denamrk, Belgium, Holland?

G93 {Ed001's Note - Auckland is a special case, they don't have a league of their own to play in, just like the Welsh teams didn't when they started playing in England. While there is a Scottish league, UEFA won't allow a team from there to move down to the English one. I don't see how Auckland's case is relevant to UEFA rules anyway. Secondly a Balkan league or similar is very much a possibility and has been discussed many times. I seem to remember the name being mooted as the 'North Atlantic League', but I could be mistaken. That is the most likely possibility, though I fail to see why Celtic fans are so desperate to leave behind the Scottish league. If they put half as much money and effort into helping out grassroots football in Scotland, as they do into looking to get out of Scottish football, then there would be a much higher level of competition. The only reason to leave is greed, pure and simple.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That's alright Ed001...I can handle them. Females have to make small errors every now & then, give men a chance. I'm going to admit another one in that I don't understand this whole playing in England thing. There is no way I want to plat anywhere else other than Celtic Park. Would Celtic have to move football grounds for this to be a possibility? Just wondering..Mrs E {Ed001's Note - it would be one way round the UEFA ruling, except that it would take special dispensation for a club to not just move their homebase the distance required, but also to change country and league. It really requires UEFA to change their stance or the Scottish league to collapse.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just for the record..I don't want Celtic to leave. I would much rather see our game developed but that is going to take time. Look at Belgium though, they've got a cracking national side now but where do the 'star' players play, it's not in Belgium & this is the problem Mrs E

Agree1 Disagree1

Much like Mrs E, i want Celtic to remain in Scottish Football. Brother Walfrid set up our fine club to help the poor in this country.

Incidentally i did read something in a Celtic fanzine, The Thunder, it had an article on Womens football in Holland and Belguim. These two countries have the same league and UEFA allowed it. If they allowed that to strengthen the Womens game then they may allow teams to start an atlantic league to strengthen the mens game in Sweden, Scotland and Holland.

Agree1 Disagree0

Exactly..we stay where Brother Walfrid intended. Mrs E

What is going on with the Scottish press? Celtic had a great result against Barca with the coverage from the red tops today ( I deliberately missed out on the papers yesterday to avoid all their glorification ) being well over the top, especially with the trouble going on at Hearts. The Scum had seven pages and a pullout and the DR with ten, yes ten pages all about the saviour's of Scottish football. I should have purchased a 'Celtic View' magazine instead, anyway no more newspapers for me until Rangers win a Champions League match. Geo the Ger

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Yes ignorance is bliss at the rangers. None of those publications you mentioned is actually a newspaper. You need to get a subscription to a few local rags in elgin, Annan etc. You might find something in them to make your team seem significant, but then again.....

Agree7 Disagree0

09 Nov 2012 19:28:35
What can I say...shocked...you may never buy a paper again...but respect to you one of the few rangers fans that can read and write

Agree8 Disagree0

How sweet of you to be so concerned of Hearts and the state of Scottish football . Don't you understand every paper in the world reported on the game because of the significance of the score . It was David versus Goliath . Just the same when Scotland beat France . Nobody gave the wee diddy team from Scotland a chance against the best club team in the world for the last decade . It must really stick in your craw that after reading about your new club who get more media coverage than most clubs dream of ( especially a 4 tier club ) for so long that the Scottish press is at last recognising the best team in Scotland . Oh and I don't know what age you are but you will be OAP before you see your team win a CL game...........DH

Ha ha Geo the Ger over here on a wee "fishing trip"
I will answer you but just wanted to let you know I was on to your wee game... lol
I have seen the quality of your posts Geo on both sites and bitter cannot fully describe them as witnessed by your sad name calling (which Ed let that word slip through?). Just be man enough to close your eyes say "well done" Celtic and then get on with life.
Geo I think you may have more pain coming if we qualify for last 16 and get Real Madrid next. Just think of that quality of opposition AND the millions of extra pounds we make, while you play the East Stirlings (no offence to wee teams) of this world and make pennies.. lol
Geo THAT is banter, no name calling but just showing you how far behind Celtic you and your newco team are.
By the way Geo even Barcelona admitted our TRADITION beat them on Wednesday. Maybe in 124 years time Sevco can equal this achievement. Timalloy
Geo a wee song just for you
We're making £MILLIONS in the Champions League
Counting our £MILLIONS in the Champions League
We'll send you a POSTCARD from the Champions League {Ed007's Note - It was the name of the paper that was changed Tim, Geo wasn't calling anyone any names.}

Agree5 Disagree0

I doubt their will be any trees left to make papers by then

Agree4 Disagree0

Geo..you're right, just buy the Celtic View:-) Mrs E

Choked on my tapas & plain breed ther geo dry ur eyes & when ur football club celebrate ther 1st league title or trophy i will use the hardbacks that will be inside they rags celebrating ur 1st trophy to heat the street. AbS 1888

@Geo needs care..As long as you are p!seed off then that makes me even more happier. Your posts are at best,ridiculous with no decency or sense in them and you show no sign of letting up. Away and lie down in a dark room you're nothing but a bitter rambling fool.

Agree4 Disagree0

Geo, i bet the dailly Record are sh*tt*ng themselves at the thought of you not buying their paper!

Incidentally, you say you won't be buying another paper till "Rangers win a Champions League match",
1) RFC are dead.
2) Sevco won't be in Europe for at least another four years and they certainly won't be in the Champions League!

If you think your post is banter son your well mistaken, your an embarrasment to yourself and thousands of Sevco fans.

@4 Ed on the Rangers site this fanny said the sun but on this site he used the word SCUM. Having read some of this ahole's posts i know exactly what he meant.

An apology should be forthcoming to Geo the Ger from a few of our supporters. It's supposed to be a Banter site.

Looks like we have upset Mr Messi. Moaning about their players are bigger than ours. That a bit like my dads bigger that your dad.

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi believes Celtic were 'very lucky' to pull off their historic victory over the Catalan giants at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
The Hoops triumphed 2-1 in front of a jubilant home crowd in Group G of the UEFA Champions League to mark a win which will live long in the memory of those associated with the Glasgow club.
Messi, who scored what turned out to be Barca's consolation strike in stoppage time, believes Celtic were fortunate to get the result.
And the Argentina ace feels they only scored their opening goal, which came from a corner, because they have bigger players in their team than the Primera Liga side.
He said in the Daily Record: "They were very lucky. It's a shame but we just couldn't do anything about it.
"We did everything in the game but just couldn't get past them.
"Celtic came at us twice and got two goals from it. When they scored they just locked their defence.
"The first goal from the corner arrived because they are a bigger team than us - it was the same as their goal in the Nou Camp.
"The second goal was our own fault.
"We did everything well and made good chances but the ball just didn't go in."

Messi's line of thinking is 'You're not supposed to win, just turn up and lay down' no doubt. Celtic did themselves proud, helped boost the credibiltiy of the Scottish game at home and abroad, especially after the National Teams disaster. I'm not a celtic fan, but even i realize that we need a feel good factor brought back in to our game (We badly need it) at this time. My celtic pals at work are still buzzing from Wednesday night, ribbing me about the Gers playing lowly Peterhead on Saturday. All in good fun of course. Something that maybe Messi could learn a thing or two from. bigbaz

Agree7 Disagree0

Maybe lionel should worry about how much bigger barcalonas debt is than ours if the financial fair play becomes effective,,,deep river bhoy

Agree4 Disagree0

I don't care what anyone says, I really don't. I just can't get enough of watching clips of the game, Champions League Goals & anything on the telly about Celtic from Wednesday night.

We have 7 points in out CL group and have defeated Barcelona, favourites to win the competition. I loved Wednesday, everything about it and knew exactly how Rod Stewart felt when he was crying.

Our Manager is 41 years old with just over 2 years experience and has built this team. The team played with passion, as a team, for the club and jersey, for the Management, for the supporters, for themselves..nothing anyone can say or do will ever take that away.

The amount of positive press coverage and adulation Celtic are getting at the moment, not just in Scotland, is absolutely one million per cent deserved and I LOVE IT ~ Mrs E

Agree6 Disagree0

I like Messi and his comments are in no way offensive to Celtic.

As he said, we took our chances and he has admitted they 'did everything well'. ~ Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree0

So Mr messi says we only had two shots and scored with both. To me that translates that we had a 100% success rate therefore by that statistic we were the better team! sounds like he has spat the dummy.

Agree3 Disagree1

Doesnt mean u was the better team at all just means u took ur chances which is what a underdog team needs to do

Agree0 Disagree3

Aye ah no ye dae mrs e here is ma soak (rite waqn ) undur your bed fur sum raisin cos wee veras huntin low n low fur it ?

Agree1 Disagree2

I've had a look and it's not there Pat..have you checked with Tim and Ed007, maybe under their bed. Was it your good socks as well ? Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I dread to think what he has used that sock for!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the wee man should learn from his team mates, who have lost graciously and conceded that they can have no complaints about the result. And 2 chances? Pile of ****e! Mulgrew could have scored when he was staring Victor Valdes in the eyes but sliced his shot, Tony Watt would have given them a proper red neck if Mascherano hadn't pulled him back. I know it wouldnt have finished 3-0 but we should have been 3-0 nil up there. OOOHH and the fact that they would have had Song & Mascherano sent off if the ref had any plums on him.

I deal in facts, and the wee man in my eyes has just proven why he isn't perfect.

Anyways who cares short arse, 2-1 to the Celts! Get it up ye, ya wee bawbag

So a web site and the Sevvies are ranting on about stats , Barca having 83% possession to our 17% and 23 attempts to our 5 , who cares ? The only stat that matters is that the ball spent 100% longer in the back of their net , great performance from the Bhoys and a big shot in the arm for the Scottish game . Drewzybhoy .

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Typical of their ilk and the way they think of us,we have a clean sheet and no amount of propaganda on their behalf will detract from what's being achieved by Lenny.
Its very obvious from the magnitude of silence coming from castle greyskull that jealousy and seething hatred still fills the hearts and minds of certain people.
Some rangers fans have come on here and praised us for what we achieved on Wednesday,good on them it shows at least we're on the same page ....FOOTBALL !

Green Judge

Agree3 Disagree0

They have a cheek, 2 weeks ago they were saying it didn't matter how long we held out for, we still lost. This time we win and they say we were lucky and scored with our only shots and had a pathetic possession percentage? As they like to say, ye can't have it both ways.
