Broony buying out his contract has been mentioned before. Don't know if there's any truth in it, but I'd imagine if anyone in Scotland has the chance of going to one of the top EPL sides they'll be off. Personally, I'd like to see Broony stay at Celtic (he's a loveable wee rogue don't you think? [rhetorical]).

PS: Jermaine 'Penitent' for Celtic (that's three. .)

What relevance does arrests made at Ibrox beamback have to do with anything? I sense a little bit of s**t-stirring!

Jermaine Penitent for Celtic (source Sickbhoy). He'll fit right in with that name, don't you think? ;-)

I didn't say he was going to sign lol but once you pull that green or white Eire top over your head, you are always going to be linked with Celtic.

Here's a point, There were more people arrested during the Ibrox beamback of the 2008 UEFA Cup Final than were arrested at last Wednesdays game.
Where was the government enquiry into that?

Now that Jermaine Pennant is eligible for Eire through his grandfather, come the next window how many times will he be linked to Parkhead?
I'm saying 23, 649. I think the ed should put a prize up for who ever guesses the closest.

SickBhoy {Ed001's Note - nice idea for a sweep, I will see if we can come up with something, maybe run the comp on all the sites. I will have a think about a prize.}

Samaras on a 4year deal makes perfect sense. we know exactly what were getting with the big man, no risk involved as there is no transfer fee and his wages won't be sky high. He has said he wants to stay which shows commitment to the club and if his form is good and someone wants him we will get a fair price.

Rangers probably tried to do the same with miller but can't commit to any such deals, however unfortunate that is. Haha

I was wondering if anyone has heard of mr fiver tenner recently? It must be all that negotiating the imminent october take-over .

Jamie Mac I'm nearly forty(lovin bein a tim, as ever!) {Ed007's Note - I'm keeping an eye on you, you wee stirrer lol}

I thought I'd give it week before I posted about the last old firm match, which compared to the 80's and 90's was pretty timid.

What I can't stand is the media and politicians reaction to this. . . Reports of 30 arrests, and increase of domestic violence. Do we have any statistics from Strathclydes Finest of how many arrests are usually made during old firm matches?

Do we have any Stats on Domestic violence for any other day of the week, cause as far as I'm concearned a wife beater is a wife beater and it doesn't take a F**kin old firm match to light that match, and make a scum bag beat his partner.

Couldn't agree more mate, alcohol is a bigger problem in Scotland than an Old Firm match. Women will be sitting every saturday night terrified of what is going to happen when their man comes home. How many of the wife beaters were under the influence of alcohol, and that will be their excuse. Fukn disgrace to accuse either club of being associated with this nonsense, once they leave the stadium the club can't stop him doing anything. I bet there were more supporters shaking their heads at the antics of both clubs than the rats who used it as an excuse to kick fuk out their mrs. Patheteic.

To Paddybhoy

I don't think we struggled in the last old firm to handle him I thought Kyle Bartley matched him all the way in that game but in the clash at Ibrox which you guys won we couldnt get near him. He showed at Man City he has talent and has shown glimpses at Celtic but he is really inconsistent no chance worth a 4 year contract its a big risk.

Billyboy, my answer to your question is no, i think we should have given him a two year contract, for the sole purpose of selling him for a couple of million. Big Sammy undoubtedly has talent, and i have been delighted at his performances against Rangers, you just can't handle him. However, he is also one of the most frustrating players i have ever watched, i hope he doesn't revert to type if he gets his contract, he is only 26 and has the chance to really improve if he keeps showing the right attitude, but i feel a 2 year contract would have been suffice reward for a few good games against Rangers.

I see bougherra and the madman are not going to be brought to book or their antics last week this just opens the door for anyone to grab an official and get away with it as long as they play for the right team

Brilliant back to this again the SFA hate us boo hoo! Did Boruc get suspended when he ran down the pitch at Ibrox with a champions flag?? or when he had his god bless the pope t-shirt on?? that could have caused crowd trouble as well but you must have forgot about that right!
