Just received email from Celtic about new t&c's about Season ticket . A few points mentioned was

The Club's Virtual Services are entirely separate from both Celtic TV and Sky Sports and are exclusively available to Season Ticket Holders. The Virtual Services will be delivered directly by the Club to Season Ticket Holders.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED MY SEASON TICKET BUT WISH TO CANCEL? Any Season Ticket Holder who has already renewed but now wishes to cancel should fill out the cancellation form available here and return it to the Ticket Office by 30 June 2020 (either by post or email to tickets@celticfc. co. uk as detailed on the form) .

HOW WILL THE CLUB DETERMINE WHICH SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ARE ALLOWED INTO CELTIC PARK IN THE EVENT OF A REDUCED CAPACITY BEING PERMITTED? The Club is committed to getting supporters back into Celtic Park as soon as possible and will investigate any and all options for this. Given the lack of clarity over exactly what may be permitted and what requirements will be stipulated by the Government and other regulatory bodies, we do not currently have any further detail. The Club will communicate further details to our Season Ticket Holders in due course.

Seems fair to me, not a lot more can be done.

Judging by the recent protests in the uk the government and local authorities don’t seem to have a problem with mass gatherings anymore? I’ve not had a season ticket in years the joys of retail management I work most weekends!

Would the do alternate games for season ticket holders? One in the stadium one on tv I don’t know if they sell 40 thousand ST means trying to accommodate only 20 thousand into the stadium?

I would like to think the SPFL will have rules written which will be made available to all clubs before new season starts on the inevitable 2nd surge of so called CV. Something along the lines of 60% of games completed before league can be called and also the amount of pts the leaders are ahead to games remaining would need to be taken into account. Nobody wants to be in the ridiculous scenario of 8 or 9 games played and the team that's top by a point trying to claim a title.

Hi Stevie, i agree with all of that because if we have the rules set And agreed prior to the season starting, we shouldn’t have the crap that we have had (and are still having) at the end of last season. PS, what did you mean by “so called CV”?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The rules are already clear in the SPFL Regs definitions section:

Season means the period of the year commencing on the date of the first League
Match in a Season and ending on the date of the last League Match in the same
Season or otherwise as determined by the Board and which excludes the Close
Season;

The SPFL voted (determined) to end the season early as they were - and still are - allowed to according to the rules. It's on P.23 HERE.

@Arrowh it's not for this page my thoughts on CV. There's a bit of a clue when they TELL you this is going to be the new norm, and there WILL be another outbreak. With track and trace now up and running this will make the job of locking people up simple.

{Ed033's Note - At least if people go to our conspiracy site, they will get a second view on what's going on instead of this one sided view from the mainstream media.

A lot of good stuff on that page, I might not be into it all but it does open your eyes to the way the world is heading.

Anno some st holders have there reservations about this virtual book thing. but av took mine up because at the end of the day if Celtic sell there best players and don't deliver the ten there will be an almighty timplosion on here. so if you can afford it dig deep bhoys.

You're right Mally, also it was mentioned down the page about reducing the price, many including myself renewed before all this kicked off so you can't go reducing prices now. Feel sorry for people who can't afford to renew due to redundancy etc, but those whos circumstances haven't changed should be renewing and put up with the situation .

It's not ideal Stevie but as ed says it's not the club's fault . what they ment to do and the fans would have a melt down if we sell our assets and lose this league.

When you look at what we rely on for revenue, season ticket sales and matchday hospitality is a huge part of that. We have lost the Matchday hospitality and if we were to lose the 20 plus million for ST sales we simply as you say would have to sell a few of our assets. This is a unique situation and out of the clubs hands and the way I look at it is, if you can afford it, renew your ticket, we still get to see the games and think of the money we"ll save that we normally spend in the boozer before games🍻🍻🍻.

What about letting people who can't go for whatever reason, and non season ticket holders be allowed to buy a virtual season ticket, especially this coming season, that would bring more money in. just a thought.

I'm sure they would if they were allowed to, but I'm pretty sure there will be a blocker on it.

I've been a season ticket holder since the Strachan days but I won't be renewing unless there is a discount for games not attended in person.

Morning Ed, do you have a rough idea of how much the club bring in from season ticket sales each season? Some tickets are over £600 whereas kids tickets can be as low as £50. If you take an average price of 300 you must be looking at something in the region of £15M.

{Ed007's Note - Off the top of my head I think it's about £18 million, Kev.}

U need to remember the size of the comfy seats now, I think its £1500 in there kev.
