OUCH! That was a sore defeat. Three consecutive losses is not exactly good preparation for a CL Qualifier. These guys need to wake up. I know it's all pre-season stuff and a chance to try things out but since when was developing a losing habit considered a good thing?

Agree with you Chris, I know it is only pre-season and match fitness is the key, however three defeats on the bounce ain't good. Hopefully tonight Neil Lennon would have gave the players a wake up call after that defeat. Ian L

Heres a few footballing cliches. Its only preseason. its about getting match fitness. The boys have got to run the rustiness out of their legs. Its let's the manager try a few new formations. Its about getting back to match sharpness. It let's the boys blow the cobwebs away. Its a great time to blood the youngsters. This will prepare us for the qualifying games. I don't pay attention to the scoreline its individual performances that matter. This is more for the sports scientists than the football. Well heres the last cliche from a shocked fan. What a load of Sh*** that performance was. Pre season bah humbug. Sopotcelt.

Does no one else think we should give Wanyama a contract extension with more money and build the team around him, he's the reason we did well in europe last season.

Selling Wanyama actually encouraging him to leave is a disgrace. CFC will reap the whirlwind. Sopotcelt.

Well, I have no idea what to say after that, it might be a friendly but that was nothing short of embarrassing against a really poor German side.

Saying we should have shipped 10 goals is far from an understatement

Friendly or not score lines like that chip away at celtics reputation that was shocking dm

Pathetic performance tonight. That wasn't your regulation pre season odd goal defeat, that was a f*ckin hammering. I'm not exaggerating when I say they could have scored 10. The ref was an embarrassment to his profession but even given that we were an embarrassment.

Anyone giving it the friendly doesn't matter talk didn't see the game.

Could not agree more, pathetic, lazy performance with Europe a week away, as said should and could have been 10. No excuses.embarressing is being kind to that unacceptable pish tonight!!!!!!

In the grand scheme of things you would normally say its a friendly what harm did it do really? What about confidence and morale? what about how really really bad some of those individual performances were? what about the tactics that weren't working from within 10 minutes of the start but were never changed? what about how many players finished the game playing out of position? Again apart from a reminder to the players that they are no world beaters and some gained fitness on the pitch there isn't a single positive thing you could take from that tonight. I won't be watching another friendly pre-season game.

Totally agree.! Last 3 game have been embarrassing. Commons is one of the fattest pro football players ever in history. And some of the youngsters at celtic are tragic.

Yes it was a pre season kicking but it matters how? This is all about fitness.Somebody posted that the fitness specialists will have a say in who plays, I agree with this. I would expect the next team will be the European picks. I will admit to not watching all the game, but it was a pre season friendly and meant nothing mate. green jhedi

I watched the game celtic players looked knackered ref gave 2 non penalties but the german side played well. disappointed with the scoreline but honestly not worried at all as it was only a friendly a training match calm down folks

I've read on hear how this year is going to be as big one for Rogic, Kayal and young Dylan. Going on tonights performance they are a million miles away from the Celtic first team. Without Broony, Super Joe and Vic we are utterly clueless. That wasn't just as per season defeat, that was a serious pumping.

Agree Joeshmo,, I know we are going to win the league and so do plenty others as its mince, so happy to take a back seat when a humping comes round! See what gets said when there's no progression if that's what the board are comfortable with? Unrealistic and have been for a while.

OP is right that's not a friendly that a kick up the arse and around the park. Not saw it so can't comment on how it was played but usually the final score tells the story 6-2 tells me we need to get up to speed fast before champions league games come & go.

That's a bit poor wishing that on anyone. He's a young man and hopefully learns as he goes. But to wish an end to his career is just heartless and is certainly not the way is expect Celtic fans to behave.
