Since we have just done the magnificent 7, anyone else think that it would be fitting to have Henrik Larsson give out the league trophy this year?

I’d prefer Miku or Zurawski.

Good to hear BR say that our plans never have or never will depend on Sevco. They will do a lot of business in the summer and naturally that will bring out the usual moaning gits in our support who don't understand that they have to buy, buy, buy whereas we don't. We should be looking for 3-4 quality signings and to ship 5, 6 or 7 our the door. No major surgery is required on our squad.

Spot on Kev. We have seen plenty Rangers signings in last 2 seasons. Now further back than ever. Hope SG brings in 4 or 5 Liverpool youths. Watching Aberdeen and Gers. Put a few young boys in there and they will get smashed. Can see why Charlie Mousonda didn't cut it. All we need are 4 quality players but quality and we are away again.

Is 4 in and 7 out not major surgery?

Potential probable rumoured leavers

Shevvy. boyata. simo. commper. gamboa
Roberts. rogic. armstrong. allen. sinclair. musonda. dembele. eduard. cifti.

I think dembele. eduard (on loan) . and Sinclair Will still be here .

Is Bain signing enough at goalie?

out of the defenders none are a great loss apart from the amount leaving . two cbs in needed and another left back

if we sign mginn as touted defensive mid is well covered

Is Christie a playmaker or winger? can he cover take over from Armstrong rogic or Roberts leaving? Can mgregor cover playmaker role? . a playmaker imo then needed. i also think Mikey Johnstone is better than musonda

Wingers can Christie and Morgan johnstone. cover the loss of Roberts? Would Roberts oust Forrest? good thing here most of the players we have in wide areas can cover both wings and if Roberts is bought we will be well covered in the wings

As I said I think dembele and eduord will stay so with griff and young aitcheson imo no other striker needed

Bit scattergun I know but watching football on mute listening to music and trying to write this at same time so be easy on my rambling.

Kev i was a tadge confused by your comment, i think we would all love a good few ins and outs but easier said than done, especially getting rid of the players who are either not playing or just simply not good enough. Time will tell i am hoping we get Rogic, Roberts and Edouard signed up asap so we can then concentrate on elsewhere.

Probably been talked over a thousand times but would just be interested to know what everyones thoughts are on what positions we need to strengthen and what stage of development a player needs to be to bring us on to the next level.

First of, get Roberts and edy signed permanently. Gk, 2central defenders and a right back are an absolute must. Depending on weather Armstrong, rogic or Sinclair leave these will need replaced also.
I'd love to see him stay but I can't see dembele here next season and John mcginn would be a top signing also.

personally i think BR does not need to sign players for the spl, unless there is a significant buying spree buy other spl teams, which is highly unlikely. BR does need to but a certain type and for certain positions for Cl/ El run.

I would like us to be spending at least 20 mil, and sell a few at few mill profit.

Looking forward to new signing and hope we get some quality, what BR buys now is for the run in of 10IAR. Hail Hail.

Sign Édouard, but I wouldn't bother with Roberts unless the price was reasonable, Dembelle is the most important one, he will make the difference in Europe, I hope he stays.

Now to Celtic FC I hope the appointment of SG will encourage DD to release funds to bring one or two outstanding players to the club, however i still believe we are strong enough at this moment to win the league next year.
I watched Tony Ralston last night and he looked ready for our first team. He was by far the most sound player in a poor Dundee Utd team
Replacements may be needed for De vires, Gamboa, Boyata, Simunoic, Commper, Armstrong, Rogic, Roberts, Dembele and Edouard. But i hope some of these may yet sign up for next season.
SPL players McGinn and McKenna plus Ralston, Christie and Morgan would fill some positions in the Squad.
I would like to see a really commanding centre half and cover for Tierney.

Why would the appointment of a novice coach at a team that is a basket case with very little revenue have any affect on our club?

Agree3 Disagree1

08 May 2018 15:28:17
kev I appreciate it's easy to deride sg for having no management experience but let's wait and see what happens over the summer as complacency could be our downfall. Our standards undoubtedly have slipped this season and I'd like to see us move forward with positive investment as Europe needs major investment to reach group stages let alone avoid humpings in group stage. I'd also like to see strong leadership about players coming in and players leaving as waiting till end of window is nonsense when we need a settled team for July qualiifiers.

Agree1 Disagree2

08 May 2018 15:32:56
what kinda sevconian nonsense is that? Shell out because an under 18 coach has MAYBE taken over at ibrokes? Whatever that tawdry cheapskate mess does will not affect us in the slightest.

08 May 2018 15:50:07
No idea why you have McKenna in there? He's a terrible centre back Hendry is already leagues ahead of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 16:36:59
Thank God you're not in charge of our club Jonace. McGinn and McKenna come on, no place in our squad for dross like that. Out of the players you mentioned Gamboa and Commper will probably be away but i expect 5 of the other 7 still to be here maybe even them all. To suggest of any threat from the Sevies is just nonsense.

08 May 2018 17:01:15
Apology about McGinn, for some daft reason I was thinking you meant Niall 😫 would take John in a heartbeat👍.

The humpings in Europe were more to do with getting the tactics and selection wrong on the night, than anything else.

Agree1 Disagree1

08 May 2018 18:19:55
The simple fact is The Rangers don't have enough revenue to compete with us
Just like we don't have enough to compete with the likes of PSG.
Ye the odd game will be won but over time we will always come out on top.
Doesn't matter if Gerard good or not he's competing against hibs and the dons not us.
Keep hearing people compare him to Souness or barnes but both miss the mark
If you want to compare him to anyone it's LIAM BRADY and the same out come is a certainty.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 May 2018 18:23:48
Aindoh followed our fortunes in Europe on Radio and thinks tactics were to blame .
Personally, mi blame the draws we got for both our group Champions League .
I reckon there were many groups much easier and groups that we could be more competitive . Take Liverpool's group for instance we would have had no real fear of either the first two seeds and would have had reasonable expectations of results from both of the top two .
The other factor is that we are a very young team, in the Champions League, and as many of our key players mature and hopefully with more realistic draws we can become more competitive, but Aindoh don't expect us to get much praise on the Radio.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 May 2018 19:45:08
Not convinced that Christie will improve us and see him as an a squad player. U never know though a year under BR may bring him in like CMcG and JF. We need to be thinking Europe tho and he, Morgan etc will not cut it in CL this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Players like Morgan and Christie aren't coming in to play in the CL, well maybe some game time in the qualifiers but they're to play domestically and hopefully they'll become CL or EL players for us in a couple of years time.}

08 May 2018 23:05:21
OMC, so you think the tactics and team selection were right?, you think playing against the most expensive, most skillfully talented players the planet has ever seen hype, the "we will do well to keep the score down attitude", is right?, and if you think all that, and you watched the games, think I will keep watching it on the radio with my eyes shut.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 May 2018 22:28:03
Ed, when did we sign Christie? Watched him a few times this year including tonight and imo will be behind our current wingers and midfielders. This time next year I think he will be gone.

Watching the highlights again on BT - this time with the sound on - and the utter bull and biased drivel from Slug and Slimey against everything Celtic is disgusting and the only time they shut up was when Celtic scored lol

How these two narrow minded bigots were given a Celtic game reminded me of why I cancelled SLY TV.
Watching the dirty challenges going unpunished and the numerous honest mistakes of Madhun reminded me of the quote from big Jock - "If you're good enough the referee doesn't matter".

BR has instilled the same mentality into the current squad and has them totally focused on their performance and the job in hand, where previous managers and players would have been distracted and discouraged by these people.

I honestly don't think the refs are biased OaB. They're just sh*te. Hearts had a goal chopped off which I would have been raging about.

As for McCoist and Craigan though, spot on. You can almost hear the sighs of dejection when Celtic score. You can see the pain in their faces too when the likes of Sutton so much as talk positively about Celtic. Best part of the broadcast for me watching those two squirm.

Agree4 Disagree0

08 May 2018 11:58:33
I can't stand either, both rats . but I don't think mcoist is that biased in his commentaries . he always (whether grudgingly ) corrects himself when wrong . and his praise of our football/ players is always open and vocal . better than walker.

Agree0 Disagree2

08 May 2018 13:18:29
Totally agree about the goal Jim; however he allowed two atrocious challenges on Brown and Forrest, that encouraged more foul play and ignored other minor infringements where Hearts gained advantage.

Few people have mentioned the Wee huns goal that was chopped off. they shouldn’t even have had the corner that led to the chopped off goal, lustig was clearly fouled but madden gave a corner instead of a foul! And as for craigan and fat sally, I still would love to know why to huns were picked to commentate on a Celtic game? And don’t give me it’s there job pish! Both of them were creaming in there drawers when that mob scored! OAB makes a great point to. one of the reason I left SLY was because the coverage and commentators were woeful! Listening to that on Sunday made my blood boil! If fat sally has to be there then Sutton should be the co commentator! And the same goes for craigan! But these 2 together on any Celtic game should never happen!
